Nice laptop that exceeds expectations
When I compared this laptop to what else was available on the market for a similar price, I was astounded by what was on offer. For a start, most mid-range Windows Ryzen 5 laptops come with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. I was suspicious that there may be a catch, so I watched numerous (mainly positive) reviews on YouTube to make sure I was buying a machine that was fit-for-purpose. So far, I've not really seen anything I don't like about this laptop. It starts up really fast, fingerprint recognition works about 80% of the time and battery life is almost a full working day. If I were to be pedantic, it's not the lightest laptop but I'm not planning to carry it around much. It doesn't have the smallest footprint, but it compensates for this by having a 15in screen that is large enough to use as a second screen when plugged in to a monitor. As the reviews have mentioned, the camera angle is not the best (the camera is built into the keyboard) but a £30 webcam, with better image quality, soon solves that. It pairs seamlessly with Bluetooth devices (Apple Mac Mini - you might take note!).I am primarily using this as a business machine. It runs popular O365 software with no issues and the fan barely kicks in (usually only when doing Windows updates). I'll often comfortably have around 10 tabs open in Chrome, along with my email client and Power BI desktop application. I've played the odd YouTube video and edited the odd image. Again, no performance issues. Would I consider Honor again? Definitely, especially given the price point.

Great laptop for the money
Great value laptop. Well made and fabulous screen, although I don't use it for games or complicated graphics, but for home use such as email, MS Office, browsing then it's perfectly fine. The built in camera in the keyboard is not so good as it gives a view up your nose (!) and your fingers obscure it if you're typing at the same time as using the camera. Easy enough to solve though with a cheap separate camera. Mouse board is good too and probably the best I've used. Ryzen processor is fast for what I'm using it for and the whole thing has been flawless since the day I got it (purchased 6 weeks ago).

Great product with a minor issue
Computer is very fast and overall built quality is very good. Plenty of port (3 full-sized USB - you don't get that very often nowadays), nice speakers. Screen is fantastic. My only issue was a flimsy charging port. Other than that no issues whatsoever.

Excellent high-spec cost-effective laptop
A good combination of light-weight compact design, with a large screen and powerful performance. It has the look, feel, and performance of a more expensive Microsoft or Apple laptop. The only thing I question is the position of the pop-up camera. Because it's on the base, it can't be adjusted by angling the screen, which means that you have to find something to prop up the laptop to adjust it. Also, the low position of the camera gives a less than flattering 'up-nostril' viewpoint. I have completely solved the problem by using a BoYata Laptop Stand.

Brilliant laptop.
Without doubt this is the best laptop I've ever owned. Fantastic battery life with a very strong sturdy build. Wireless performance is outstanding, in conjunction with an Asus router I get the full speed available to me (360). The screen is nice and sharp and bright I love it. Having the pop-up camera in the keyboard is great as I can know for definite it isn't being viewed by a third party.

Magic Book Pro - amazing all rounder
Due to availability problems late 2020 (because of demand created by the many positive magazine and web reviews, AMD chip supply, and import bottlenecks) I had to buy this through a favourite department store known for its solid 2 year warranties. So lost out on the freebies.Just want to record how amazing this machine is three months on.Sure the webcam sucks (buy a full HD quality USB one on Amazon for under £50 if you need to flatter for zoom meetings). It just gets the basics so right.Solid aluminium body, nice illuminated keyboard, large accurate trackpad.Terrific screen, 320 cd/m2 brightness, full SRGB colour gamut and colour accuracy, 180 deg IPS viewing angles, 16 screen inches in a compact body.Add to that a processing capability in excess of contemporary Intel i7, 16GB of dual channel RAM, 512GB PCie M2 storage. All of this still amazing Spring 2021 for £850 GBP.Yes this machine which I'm typing on I'd recommend unreservedly.

Great but check the cam is right for you!
Love the machine - hate the camera (no overstatement) - awful position recessed under a central function key on the keyboard, great if you’re going to have an ENT consult, but lousy if you want to present... lesson learnt!
