Bought the x60 and am using as the main hub. Network is great and ideal for lots of connected tech

Great little router, using alongside X20s in rooms further away, in my living room next to this I get near 900mbps down. Only negative would be only 2 ethernet ports, I had to buy a network switch to go next to it.

A couple of years ago I bought four TP-Link M5 Decos and have been very happy with them. But over the last couple of months we began experiencing network crashes almost every night (often due to BBC HDR content). I swapped this X60 into my network, to use as my main router and haven't had any more crashes since.In a nutshell, this has double the RAM, so it can manage more data from all the devices connected to it.It took about 12 minutes to add the X60 to my existing mesh network using the TP-Link 'Deco' app on my android phone – including doing a firmware update.The only downside I found is that the app doesn't include one or two of the features as when used solely with M5 Decos. I particularly miss the speed test tool, which gave much more accurate download and upload figures than any other app or online service I've ever used.Overall though, the app is still very good – particularly the parental controls.

Works alongside older Decos, so we'll recommended for expanding your system.

Upgraded a M5 with this as my new hub, bit of a pain as had to restart my network and add in all other Deco’s but was aware of this before purchasing. Works well and since updating my mesh the load balancing appears to be better.

We already have a deco mesh network of X30s that was working well but had one room that struggled for signal a little so bought this to plug into my network and moved one of the X30s to that room, running an Ethernet between them, very easy to setup with existing network. Three months later both areas were dead zones with no connectivity speeds according to the Deco app above 30kb/s. I unplugged the X60 and put the X30 in its place and signal went back to normal. When I plugged the X60 in in the previously weak signal area, the problems were the same for just that area, so I can confidently attribute the issues to the X60 unit, it’s pass through and it’s output. Expensive for something that doesn’t work, would avoid as I have no ability to get my money back now three months later so it’ll be going in the bin.

I am lucky in that I just got 1GB internet but how do I get that to my devices (other than via wired Ethernet)?I hoped this unit would allow for closer to 1GB via wired backhaul but under ideal conditions best I got was 600mbps from modern laptop.My old bt whole home Wi-Fi system Wi-Fi 5 peaks at about 565.So overall a good system at a great price but if your internet is >500mbps look elsewhere would be my advice

These products are scattered all round our property as we have a rubbish internet field around us. We are a Domesday site with very thick walls and this has opened up our internet use
