The size is fit for a jewellery box. Sturdy enough only for a small light jewel box (just as claimed by the advertiser). Antique finish is as described. It is hollow at the back (hence not super strong). Note: The tiny screws provided are just superb. I purchased for a tiny wooden box. Serves the purpose.
