Cambridge 219830R Soiree Mirror 30-Piece Flatware Set

This is a beautiful utensil set. I bought it for my son and his wife. It looks very durable. Each utensil has a good weight to it. Not flimsy at all. This set is a good value for the money. I was so happy that this was such a good set I went ahead and bought another set for tbem. (We have a big family) I know this will last them for many happy years.

I purchased this in part because I needed new flatware and in part because we had a large family gathering at Thanksgiving and I wanted something simple to set the table with. This is good flatware--it's solidly made, feels good in the hand, and cleans up well. It's a nice everyday set, and looks nice on the table, but works especially well with a "shabby chic" place setting. While I'm at it, I should also say that the company is nice to deal with too. I managed to lose a couple of forks and some spoons over the holiday. I contacted the company to price replacements as they no longer offered it on their site. A customer service agent responded, offering to just send me the missing pieces at no charge. I'm quite impressed by this.

But seriously this set was great for the price. The quality seems very good, they seem to clean pretty well in the dish washer, sometimes they are a little spotty but not often. The larger forks and spoons are a good size for me (average sized guy) and the smaller spoons are good for coffee. The small forks are the only things that are less useful to me since I prefer the normal sized ones but I use them when all the normal ones are dirty so they are good for backups or children.

This is a decent set of silverware for the price. I had a hard time finding silverware with nice clean lines (over-embellished is not my style), and so I was happy to find this set. The flatware is all quite big (for example, the small fork is probably about the same size as the big fork in many other sets...). I actually like this characteristic though. It seems nice and manly or something.... My one complaint is that the flatware is quite light. The handles of the spoons and forks are a bit hollowed out in the back (probably helps to keep the price down, so I can understand why they'd do that), so it doesn't FEEL as high quality as it looks. I can't speak to durability yet as I've only had this set for a week or two at this point.

The design of the face of this flatware is very nice; simple and elegant. The sizes are perfect for adult hands. Unfortunately, the photos don't show the rear and rear-side edges; they reveal hollow, concave handles that give the impression that the flatware pieces were stamped rather than cast/forged. The end result is a lighter, thinner, handle that feels "cheap" in the hand. They are a step above the commercial, plain, flatware that one would routinely use at a diner (and no better). This is a fair deal for the price but there is truth to the cliche that you get what you pay for.

This silverware set is amazing! I bought these for our office lunchroom, and needed something sturdy but not too expensive. These are both but also look super nice! We’ve had them in the office kitchen being used and abused for over two years, and they still look as good as new. They aren’t heavy like expensive silverware, but they aren’t light and bendable like the dollar store stuff. We like these so much that now that our office is growing, we ordered a second set. Highly recommend!

I am altering my review. I had put this set away until I moved thast month. I did not anticipate that the metal would be so cheap and bad quality that the ends of the fork would have a metalic taste that hurts my fillings. I had only experienced this once before at a camp that had cheap flatware. Unfortunatly it is past my return time because the flatware, Corelle Livingware and coaster set were in storage until I moved into my new apartment. By the way the Corelle is wonderful - but I surely made a mistake in purchasing this flatware. Cambridge Luzene satin/mirror - 30 piece flatware seems like a nice set. I would have given it a hilgh rating if they would have been a little sturdier with a little more heft. But I like that flatware and dinnerware (ie Corelle) is coming out with a service for 6 - which is just perfect. Service for 4 is too small and service for 8 is too many - so for me a service for 6 is just perfect.

This affordable flatware is a great all-purpose set of cutlery with simple design, balanced weight, and comfortable handles.

Bel ensemble de coutelleries pour 6 personnes. La tenue de l'ustensile est agréable et pratique. Très belle apparence également. C'est pas gênant de les sortir pour des invités, car elles ont une apparence très élégante.

Very light and cheap feeling.

This is a pretty set. It is lighter than I anticipated. What I don't understand is why people gave this a low rating simply because they didn't read the description . Ignore those people. This is as it showed and was described. Pic taken after removing it from packaging...just clearing up any misconception that this was how it was shipped.
