Mine is .22 but what size ?

I bought it for my husband. He says that you need to find out which head size pellet your barrel prefers. It may prefer 5.51, 5.52, or 5.53. He suggests you try pellets in these head sizes to find out which is most accurate with your barrel. Hope that helps.

Will this allow me to shave 4.52 and 4.51 mm pellets down to 4.50 without denting or otherwise compromising the accuracy?

This may compromise accuracy if you size down to 4.50. Far better to to go down to 4.51 so the pellet is a snug fit in the barrel, this is my experience.

Hi, the .22 sizer is available in 4 sizes (5.50, 5.51, 5.52 & 5.53mm). You need to check which head size pellets you’re are using. If the pellets are just .22 / 5.5mm you probably won’t need a sizer.

Are these very smooth inside, as I had to return a brass version which was very rough as I pushed pellets through?

Improved Accuracy

Gun Tuff pellet sizer (4.52) I found was an excellent inexpensive purchase. I originally bought it to fix damaged skirts on a tin of air pellets that was badly dented. It reshaped the skirts back to the original. I now use the Gun Tuff sizer on all my pellets, damaged or not and I am getting much tighter groups with no flyers. The Gun Tuff pellet sizer is well manufactured and easy to use. A must buy product!

Re sizes nicely, on my 4.52 pellets . push rod is a bit slack ,could have been made a little wider ?? I will know on my next shoot if accuracy is improved.

Improved consistency.

Bought this 5.52mm pellet sizer and have now improved group size with my HW45 pistol. Pellets now all same size and fit breech better. Some cheaper pellets are more variable in size and difficult to seat, leading to chewed up breech seal. Sounds like power might be down a tad, due to head and skirt of pellets being same diameter and not holding air back through rifling grooves. Well worth the effort of pushing pellets through sizer to get improved more consistent results and less wasted lead.

Re-sizes the skirt of the pellet where slightly deformed

This item is not intended to allow used pellets to be re-used. The rear-end of the pellet occasionally gets slightly deformed, affecting the performance of the pellet and gun. This tool simply re-shapes the rear skirt of the pellet. Inexpensive, good quality. With a choice of incremental sizes or complete size sets if required.
