The assembly instructions were pictures only, which made parts of it difficult to put together. Otherwise, it's amazing and worth the price.

I got this for my 7 year old, he loves 80’s movies and mostly this one. We have enjoyed doing this everyday and he gets excited about it. The cardboard clock tower was a little annoying for me to put together and seemed flimsy at first but once you get the extras it holds up well. There is typically a little bit of putting this together each day which gives us a little bit of together time. He noticed that none of the holes look big enough for a delorean and since there is no prize for the 25, I bought him the extra set that includes the deloreon and a couple other features and will have that wrapped for x mas morning. Going to buy the ghost busters one for next year!

I love Playmobil, back to the future sets are awesome.

I gave this to my adult daughter and her husband. They had a great time with it and were frequently sending me pictures as it evolved. They know the movie backwards and forwards so related to all the details. I will try to find something similar next year.

This advent calendar was exciting and creative enough to keep my 16yo engaged for the whole month and is now displayed in his room.

I bought this for my son as his advent calendar this year, and he LOVED it. I have no complaints there. We always get a Playmobil advent calendar and have always been pleased. This time, however, as a parent I noticed some downsides to this particular set. First, yes, the clock tower is thin cardboard. I was not expecting anything more than that. It looks fun once it's all setup, but I found the instructions on how to build it quite inferior. There are lots of folds, some of them complicated. I'm not terrible at putting stuff like this together, but for some reason this one stumped me. I managed to cobble it together, but had to use some tape in the back to reinforce it. The second downside I noticed is that several of the days in the calendar include accessories for the clock tower, which is not made to last. Once that thing finally collapses after kids get their use out of it, the accessories won't have much of a function. And the third downside is that at least one of the days in the calendar included accessories for a character that hadn't even been opened yet. We all know not every day in an advent calendar is going to be super exciting, but accessories you just have to put aside while you wait to get the figure they go with is kind of lame. Even with the downsides, this calendar was still fun. My son loved it. Any Back to the Future lover is going to enjoy this. Just be aware of some of the potential downsides before purchasing.

Perfect gift

My 2 year old daughter and I loved this advent calendar. (Although, I wouldn't let her play with it until after my photos were finished.) I added some extra stuff to make it authentic, but it was definitely worth the money. I've already purchased the BTTF 3 advent calendar for next year.

It's a great set and i love the idea of opening a door a day and building the set one piece at a time.The detail is amazing and being Playmobil the quality is great. Fans of the series will love it. An example of the great attention to detail is that the "save the clock tower" poster is an exact replica (even features Jennifer's phone number on the back).The only downside is that the clock tower is made out of cardboard and it's a little confusing to assemble. Instructions weren't super clear but there are a few videos on YouTube if you're having a hard time.I love this set and i can't wait until tomorrow to find out what piece I'll get next. Fun even for an adult :)
