Works Great! The interface is easy to work. The only issue we have with it is when connected to our phone, and a call comes in, we have to disconnect manually from Blue tooth. Other than that We really enjoy it.

JBSmartBulb is the app to use. Works pretty good, range isn't the best though, you can't go to far from it.

This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for me. The iPhone app is awful. Save your money and wait for a better app

Sound quality low light ok

I've been using this color changing LED Bluetooth speaker bulb for nearly 3 weeks now and it has performed flawlessly. I've used this with multiple Android phones and it works well my son's iPod touch 6th generation. I really love the ability to control the bulb remotely via Bluetooth. I can turn the light on and off, set sleep timers and change colors for the bulb via the app on my phone.The bulb also features a built in Bluetooth speaker which is pretty convenient. While you can't expect great sound quality I was genuinely a bit surprised with how decent the speaker's sound quality is. It isn't fantastic but it works well for listening to music, talk radio and podcasts in my desk lamp. I use this in a lamp with a metal shade so perhaps that helps improve sound quality and volume a bit? If you're an audiophile you may not be pleased with the sound but it works perfectly fine for most normal uses.THE APP:You don't need to install the app to use this as a regular lightbulb or to use it as a typical Bluetooth speaker. Your device should be able to connect to it as a Bluetooth speaker without the app installed. Of course, to make full use of this great little gadget you'll want the free app. To change colors and control the bulb remotely you'll need to install the app for this bulb onto your smartphone or device. Despite what other reviewers have claimed the app IS available in Google's Play Store. If you search "JBSmartbulb" or "App for Smart LED Bulb" you'll find it. The "JBSmartBulb" app is from developer "SUSANNA REN" in the Play Store. I believe you can also download the .apk file or ios file directly using the QR codes found in the instruction manual. That way is just as easy, but I always prefer to install from the Play Store/Marketplace when possible.The free app allows you to change colors on the bulb. By default it is a clear cool white color. You can select from 7 preset colors or create your own unique color shade by dragging through color choices on a color wheel. You can also tap the "Auto" button and the lamp will cycle through random color changes. If you're playing music and tap the "AUTO" button the bulb will change colors along with the beat of the music. That's a pretty cool little feature.The app also allows you to turn the lamp on and off remotely, play music via the app, and do things like set sleep timers to turn the lamp off after a predetermined length of time.PROS:+ A great way to set mood lighting+ Fun for adults, teens and kids+ Decent speaker quality (A bit better than I was anticipating)+ Choose your own color+ Control the bulb via your smartphone or mobile device using the app+ Can be used as a standard Bluetooth speaker. It pulls down the spring loaded arm on my desk lamp a little- I notice some audio and video sync issues when I tested the bulb speaker while watching YouTube and Netflix videos. I think this is more of a lag issue inherent with Bluetooth more so than the bulb itself. I don't plan on using this much while watching videos anyway so it isn't an issue for me.- The app works well but the user interface looks a bit cartoony and childish in some areas.- Could be a bit brighter but I'm used to a very bright high output bulb in my desk lampOverall I've very pleased with this product. I was provided a complementary sample product in order to provide my honest opinion and review, but that has no bearing on my review or my rating. I've seen, purchased and used similar bulbs costing twice as much at local big box stores. This bulb is just as good at half the price. Maybe I had low expectations or maybe I've just experienced too many poor quality Bluetooth speakers and devices in the past,but I found the audio quality a little better than I was anticipating. It doesn't sound fantastic. . . but it is perfectly acceptable for audio coming out of a light bulb! I would recommend this product to others based on my experience so far.

We got a lot of entertainment out of this tonight - my two oldest kids loved the light and the speaker. "Daddy, why is the light singing?" The speaker is pretty good sound quality, as long as its not under a shade. Only the tip of the bulb lights up, so it can't replace the light cast from a normal lamp stand (which usually is sending light down, up, and out).I didn't have any issues connecting to Bluetooth and the app installed fine and worked well. Thankfully, once connected, any noise making application goes through the speaker on the light bulb, so you don't have to just use the app to play sound. The app isn't that great for fine-tuning the color it puts out, but overall, that didn't really matter to me...the kids were happy, I got it to work pretty easily, and the sound quality was pretty good.Pros: works, simple/straightforward to set up, good sound quality, kids loved itCons: app isn't in the android appstore, so you have to have your phone set up to allow installs from outside the appstore; light only comes out the tip, doesn't replace the light output from a light bulb in intensity or directionality at allIf I could change anything about this product: default the light to be warm white, not cool white when it first comes onPackaging type: retail packaging - printed box, like you'd expect in a brick-and-mortar storeI received a discounted product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
