Fluval Edge 21-LED Lamp Fixture, A13924

I am a big fan of Fluval products. I feel they are designed well and are attractive. Value rating given because for a replacement part, the cost is approximately one third of a new system. Easy to install rating because there were no instructions, no screws, item was packaged in a plain white box with a small label. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality and remain a loyal consumer for this manufacturer’s product.

The product is great!!! I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it came with no instructions whatsoever. I have noticed several negative reviews regarding water corroding the lights. However, the original light system that came with the tank had the same, if not worst, problem. I have had my tank for over 4 years and originally used it as a saltwater corral tank. As you can imagine the salt water really damaged the light system. So I had a piece of glass cut to fit over the opening which prevented the saltwater from splashing on the light system. That may seem like a lot of trouble, but it was not. I simply cut a piece a piece of paper as a template, took it to the local glass company they made me 2 glass pieces for less than $5. I have not used the second one in 3 years. I am only replacing the system because while ordering a replacement bulb, I saw this light system and like it better because it had the day and night lights in one system. I do wish there was a way to put the day\night lights on a timer which is how I had the original lights (I added night lights to the original system).

The shipping was faster than I expected, and it arrived in one piece. Very well packaged. It was quite simple to put together, I had no issues. Make sure to remove the screws from the old one, to get it off! I bought this to replace the old version. The lighting is a lot nicer than the old one, for sure! I love that you can make it white, or blue. My kids love to set the light to blue, to watch the fish in the dark. <3 It's pretty cool. The button is a little tough to push, to turn on. I like it though, my four year old can't turn it on whenever he pleases. I've had this set up and going for about five weeks now, and no lights on the LED bar have burnt out. Thank you for the wonderful product. Will update if the lights burn out.

Happy to replace the original bulb based lamps with this. I wish it were a little brighter. It also doesn't spread light as well as I'd like.

I got this Fluval Edge 21 LED lamp to replace the original one that was broken. It looks like the manufacture did some improvements on this light, because it looks a bit better than the original lamp. The lamp installation took about 15 minutes, and it just gave new life to my old tank.

We replaced our halogen version with this LED version. Would recommend looking at youtube videos for installation; as it is not very intuitive. But it works beautifully and our aquarium looks a lot more beautiful in white light. The night light mode (blue) is quite pleasing to the eye, but we barely use it. May be this is an updated version, but it does not seem to have any issues with moisture accumulation. The LED lights are covered to protect from moisture.

For a product like this which is always in close proximity to water in the tank, water would constantly get collected inside the clear plastic enclosure and I had clean it out, until eventually it got into the LEDs and they stopped working in less than 2 months. I wish this product was water-proof since I did like the lights and the night light option on this one.

Amazing work great. Beautiful light. Slightly hard to install as there were no directions. YouTube it easy enough. Just be sure to save the old screws as the new lamp does not come with them.

Me he ahorrado como 20 euros del precio que me pedían en un acuario de mi localidad, y funciona perfectamente de fácil instalación, muy satisfecha.

Nachdem unsere Lampen am Fluval edge langsam aber sicher kaputt gingen, habe ich mit der Entscheidung lange gezögert, aufgrund des hohen Anschaffung preis. Nun letzten Endes muss ich sagen , das Paket kam zügig, der Aufbau war ein wenig umständlich, man sollte Feinmechanik Werkzeug zur Hand haben, ist in der Regel aber in jedem Haushalt normaler Weise vorhanden. Ich bin mir auch nicht mehr ganz sicher, Vllt war auch ein schrauben ziehen dabei. Im Grunde ist der Aufbau ganz einfach, den alten Lampen arm abmachen, 4 schrauben lösen, diese aber aufheben. Danach die neue Lampe wieder mit den 4 schrauben befestigen. Das wars. ZUM Schluss : Die neue LED Lampe war ihr geld allemal wert das fluval edge leuchtet schöne den je und ein Zusatz ist das man es auf mondlicht( blau) umschalten kann. Dafür insgesamt 5 sterne :)

Bought this as an upgrade, to our older Fluval Edge model, that came with halogen lighting. This LED lighting was well worth the money to upgrade and looked so much better. The quality is great and it was super easy to remove the old fitting and add the new. Really happy.

...und das funktioniert wie ich finde in ausreichend gutem Umfang - die Bewohner des Aquariums sollen sich ja nicht wie im Stadion fühlen!. Dabei ist wahlweise eine dezente blaue Lichtfarbe oder eben ein stärkeres (kaltes) Weißlicht einschaltbar. Der transparente Kunststoffschutz über den Lichtdioden schützt dabei vor Verschmutzungen wie er sich zwischen den Original-Leuchten aus der Erstausstattung im Laufe der Jahre abgesetzt hat. Die Gefahr von Spritzwasser oder locker oder schief sitzenden Lichtquellen ist damit auch bereinigt. Die Montage wird anhand einfacher Anleitung erklärt, ist aber auch intuitiv ohne großen Kraft- oder Zeitaufwand (ca. 5 Minuten) zu bewerkstelligen. Es braucht dafür auch kein Entleeren des Beckens. Vier Schrauben mit dünnem Elektro-Schraubenzieher lösen, Beleuchtung umstecken, Schrauben wieder fixieren, Adapterkabel anschließen und einschalten. Die Stromzuleitung ist ca. 2m lang und damit sogar etwas länger (wenn ich mich recht erinnere) als die Originalstromleitung. Alles in allem: perfekte Lieferabwicklung, erwartungsgemäß guter Artikel, der alles erfüllt, was er sollte. Somit: Kaufempfehlung!
