This Lock Actuator worked perfectly in my '02 GMC Sierra 1500HD SLE Crewcab. It fixed the problem I had opening the left rear door from the inside/outside. At first, I thought the passenger tried to open the door before I pressed the fob or the child safety lock was engaged. in addition, you would always hear actuator thump, but not releasing or opening the door lock. Since I installed this new one, it makes driving my truck much easier because I no longer have the fear of this door not opening.

does it have the child security mechanism and fitment for 2002 Chevy Suburban?

I’m not sure.... It worked on our 2005 suburban with childproof locks...
