GUM Expanding Floss-30m

Very good for teeth with gaps, also works well on teeth that are close together.

The floss is softer than expected, which is less irritating on the gumline. I notice I don't have to go over the teeth as the back as many times as before with regular floss, since it captures more debris between the teeth the first and second time round.

Love this floss, so gentle on my gums, wish I had this years ago. I'll never go back to oral b string, it ripped my gums. This floss puffs up as it goes between the teeth like little cushions of marshmallow, love it love love it.

This floss works well and is easy to use. It expanding quality means it contributes to clean gums between the teeth. Rinse the mouth afterwards and you will be surprised how good it is. I have tried all the other types and makes. This is the one!

Tried this floss to achieve a deeper clean when brushing my teeth. The floss does expand between teeth when it gets wet but I found that it frays and bits of the floss comes away and gets stuck between teeth. This happened a few times so I’ve started using interdental brushes and found these work a lot better.

Good floss, however slightly overpriced

Expanding floss gets so much more gunk out from between teeth than 'normal" floss! Much gentler on gums (no blood when I spit, unlike blood every time with normal floss). Does not fray for me. Flossing is not a chore anymore.

Parfait, et robuste

Ho utilizzato per molto tempo un filo interdentale Oral B Pro Expert Premium con cui non mi sono mai trovato veramente bene. Il filo era piatto e largo, cerato, comodo per chi ha i denti estremamente ravvicinati tra loro o delle otturazioni o altri interventi che richiedono pulizia ma delicatezza quando ci si va intorno. Questo Gum invece è tutta un'altra cosa, e mi sono trovato molto bene. La confezione è solida, ben fatta, la finestrella davanti lascia intravedere quanto filo manca (nelle foto non si nota perché il filo sta per finire) e il sistema di strappo del filo lo ha sempre tagliato perfettamente. Sono stato contento della qualità della confezione e lo sottolineo perché il Pro Expert Oral B era invece in un involucro di plasticaccia e il sistema di strappo a volte sfilacciava il filo. Il filo, "expanding", è eccezionale per chi vuole grattare via lo sporco con un po' di brutalità: non si tratta infatti di un filo cerato, quindi non "scivola" in mezzo ai denti, ma va messa un po' di forza nel passarlo tra le fessure. Il risultato però è superiore rispetto all'Oral B che usavo prima, vista la quantità di sporco che riesce a tirar fuori. Le foto che mostrano il filo espanso sono un po' fuorvianti: quando lo si tiene tra le dita non si nota questa particolarità, proprio perché il filo è teso. Tuttavia la sensazione di pulizia dopo averlo usato è certamente superiore. Non si sfilaccia e non si spezza, almeno a me non è mai successo, mentre con l'Oral B Pro Expert si è sfilacciato e spezzato più di una volta. Non ha alcun sapore, né di menta né di altro, quindi non va ad intaccare quello del dentifricio se ci si è puliti i denti con lo spazzolino subito prima. In sintesi si tratta di un ottimo filo interdentale: è efficace, pulisce bene e in profondità. Non è cerato e non è piatto, quindi serve un po' di lavoro in più per farlo passare tra i denti, ma il risultato è certamente superiore. Poi quando si tratta di salute è bene non stare a farsi troppi scrupoli.
