Great Hotfix Applicator
This is my first experience applying Hotfix Rhinestones. I purchased this tool and rhinestones to fill in missing stones on a t-shirt that I love. It was very easy to use. I was adding the smallest rhinestones (6ss) that this tool will apply. It picked up the stones perfectly, I counted to 8 which was long enough for the glue on the back of the tiny rhinestone to melt, then set the stone in place.

This tool is good. If it has a light to tell hot or not hot, it will be better to use.

Doesn't Pick Up Swarovski 2078 Crystals
Great tool, but I down-rated it because it doesn't pick up rhinestones as it claims. Perhaps it's the type of stones I bought? (2078 Xirius Rose Swarovski Crystals) I've had to pick them up one by one with tweezers, place them on the tool, then place it on the fabric. I might as well have used glue & flatbacks.BUT if it happens to pick up the rhinestones you have, it is a great tool.

Gluing is better
Very hard to get rhinestones in and out. I like gluing much better. Can’t pick up stones with it. Can’t get stones off it when youve glued them without inserting a pin in the side. Plus I often heat the (synthetic lace) fabric - which melted it.

Stones get stuck to tips causing the glue to melt.I tried both ss16 and ss30 and I was very disappointed that it didn’t work and I had to I use tweezers to remove the damaged stones from the tips.
