How can I learn how to use this? The instructions are inadequate.

There are no video instructions on you tube for this calculator. And I agree the instructions are so inadequate.

Is the printing quiet?

No, but is not so noisy that it bothers me. I am paying more attention to what I am doing than worrying about any noise.
