I use this in my classroom and it’s super cute and always gets the job done

I don’t think this product works great as a stand alone on a desk... but I will continue to use it.

I was really kind of disappointed in this set. I got it for my home office, to go around this octangular shaped desk area. For the expensive price what you get is really disappointing, it's just their "rail system" which are cord-hiding - in the 17 piece set you get two long and two short rails, and both kinds are smaller than expected. You also get a bunch of matching plastic boxes, but only one holds pens (the post-it note box) but that only holds literally two pens. You get a tape dispenser, phone charger box (just a plastic stand with a USB charger in it that you have to plug into an A/C outlet), and small charge port. All of these CAN fit on their rail system, but you can also use the glue that comes on them to stick them anywhere, or you can just place them on any flat surface.I found it difficult to set up with my existing office supplies, there was not enough room for them and this kit - and my office supplies include large staplers and rulers, so the boxes (especially the storage boxes which are divided into four small mini-sections) won't be able to hold much more than paperclips, thumbtacks, or other very small items.I could possibly see a very large and expensive business purchasing this type of set for mass cubicles, but other than that, it's hard to customize, very little versatility, doesn't hold much, difficult to assemble if you have anything else on your desk at all, and finally I find the price to be EXTREMELY high for what you receive. Because it could be used by rich businesses for mass cubicles, I'll give it a 3 out of 5, but definitely think about your setup and how you will or will not be able to fit this kit into what you have.

Too small for praticle use.

I'm not using this for a traditional desk, but for a pair of small Ikea tables that I have set up on which to build scale models. I needed some kind of system to organize frequently used X-acto knives, brushes, pens, etc. and thankfully this system includes a number of storage bins with space for all of those things. I have it arranged in a J-shape, with the long edge (two long metal sections joined in the center) along the back of the tables and the short edge (two short metal sections joined in the center) along the side of one. It overhang the second table by about 6 inches or so.The storage bins simple set in place over the triangular metal sections and can be moved pretty much anywhere. Less mobile is the power outlet, which, due to the cord's length and the fact that it travels through the metal sections, can only be moved so far. Various connectors are included, so if you want to add more corners, there are enough pieces for that, as well as pieces to connect the metal sections end-to-end. The outlet has one standard, grounded power outlet and two USB ports. Also included is a phone stand with a built in USB plug and cable that can be further plugged into the outlet.All of the plastic connectors have adhesive feet so you can lock the organizer in place, and a bunch of adhesive velcro pieces are also included to attach the bins to the surface, if you so desire. I personally like having them movable so I can get them out of the way if I need to. Also included are pieces to attach it to cubicles, but I didn't look too far into that since I don't need that at all.

Overpriced for what it is, but fits well within the rest of the system. Solid.

I'm pretty much fanatical about organizing tools, so this modular unit caught my eye. It's a little awkward to figure out, and didn't come with a lot of instructions, but it didn't take long at all to figure out. We have a home office and we're always looking for ways to keep the desks clear, so this helps a lot. It takes the tape dispenser, pens, and other things off the desk. There are also add-on bins and connectors to stretch the storage even further. Love this set!
