Taylor ES-GO Pickup for GS Mini Guitar

Q: Hi guys contemplating on the es go vs the seymour duncan woody for my gs mini?? any inputs would be appreciated..

I originally had the Seymore Duncan for my GS. It worked fine. Couple of years ago I bought the Taylor pick up. GS Mini has clips already installed in guitar. The pickup clips right in place, wire runs right inside guitar to the back where strap holder is. The new plug right there. Everything you needed is right there. This one a little more convenient.

Q: Can the Taylor guitar strap still be used with this installed and if so how?

Yes the strap can still be used with Taylor ES Go pickup installed. The pickup replaces the original strap mount and has the facility to attach the strap before the amp cord is plugged in. Easy as!!!!

Q: My daughter wants to be able to plug her es-go into a powered speaker such as my bose soundlink resolve has anyone made such a system work?

if you have a guitar jack on your soundlink then should not bve a problem. I use my Fly amp and it fills the room.

Q: My pickup is nowhere near as loud as my martin's fishman matrix infinity pickup. is that common?

Is Nissan altimeter louder than a Shelby? They are not apples for apples. But what I find is when you use the Taylor cable with volume control the ego gets as loud as you want. Depending on your amp or board these Taylor mini is as loud as any other of my 16 guitars. It's the 1st one I pick up.
