ultimately, I was able to make this work but I suppose I should have paid more attention to the picture. I wanted to clamp this on a shelf above the plants and shine down, however, the lights face the same direction at the clamp so it would need clamped next to the plants. the arms are quite flexible but do not rotate so even though I could bend the flexible arms backwards to shine where I needed it, the light were then facing up. so, I guess you have to visualize where you will be clamping it before purchasing and remember the light face the same way as the clamp opens. if that makes sense.

Love the price and quality of the lights. Love that you can change between bright white, yellow, or a mixture of both. You can also adjust the brightness. I like that they are gooseneck so you can bend them how you’d like. The clip is very strong and sturdy! It took two hands to open and pinch the clip. If you struggle with hand grip strength, you may need assistance opening the clip.One thing to keep in mind, make sure you have an outlet very close to where you are planning to use them. I pictured the cord to be longer, but it doesn’t have much length. So I had to maneuver some things to get the clip for the lights to reach something to clip onto, because the cord is so short. That’s why I’m giving 4 stars. Because I had to move things to account for a shorter cord than expected.Still highly recommend if you have an outlet close to where you are using them.

I have about 12 of these kind of lights all through my house. I find most brands this one and ones almost exactly the same all last about 2 years then I buy a new one.I use mine everyday on a timer for 12 hrs. I noticed the timer will go out first then the light won't be as bright then one day it just gives out.I wish there was a way to just replace the bulbs instead of buying a whole new set of lights.I hope this aids in your buying decisions.

Took a while to arrive and the lights were a little dimmer than expected. Further, 1 light was more warm, the other more white. Unsure why. Would like them to be brighter, but OK for the price.
