Yes I think so. The clamps will go between any two of the cross bars and they are quite wide so they will take up some adjustment too. My car is a 08 Kia Caren's with the wider factory fitted roof bars, I fixed it no probs. Hope this helps.

What are the internal dimensions of the 46" x 36" tray? i.e. what size box could i theoretically carry in it?

Not sure, but be aware that the adjustable fittings sit a bit proud of the rack. I use a fabric roof bag and also a elastic bungee net for loose stuff.

Manufacturer suggests using truck bed liner paint to protect this roofrack from rust. Will I need to sand roofrack first?
