I bought this Bible for my 21-year-old son. It’s got a beautiful cover in dark blue and light blue leather. It’s a great study Bible.

I love this Bible so much. I’m reading the New Testament first, and it’s really explaining everything so well. I think the color is really feminine, but that’s just my opinion. I’ve given it out to friends, and they enjoy it as well. We’re in our 20’s and 30’s, so there’s no excuse for young people not to have this Bible. The extra articles are very informative and thought provoking. I have trouble with the charts and graphs because I’m mentally disabled, but the maps and pictures are really cool. I highly recommend this Bible.

This study Bible truly makes being a Christian so much easier than it would have been without the useful study tools. The notes should never be considered scripture, but they help to add a lot of context and can aid in explaining some of the harder topics on the Bible. What I found to be the best part of this Bible is the cross references that help to draw a much more unifying picture of all the scriptures, along with the well written and thought provoking articles. If there is any part of your heart calling you to this book I strongly urge you to buy it, read it, and walk free thanks to the grace of God explained in it. It makes a great gift, I’ve already bought 3, the only thing I would say is it’s a good idea to buy some Bible tabs to seperate the books, making it easier to flip back and forth, makes a big difference when going from book to book. Keep in mind that this is a *study* Bible as opposed to a *reader’s* Bible. So yes absolutely lots of good history, archeology, visuals, etc. There are just so many footnotes that sometimes take up the vast majority of the pages which sometimes makes it difficult to read (see photo). It’s sometimes visually cluttered, perhaps bc it’s the personal size. In my opinion, the footnotes are of varying degrees of helpfulness but there are enough insights that I’ll keep this! Side note that the cover is a little flimsy. Overall, I do enjoy learning so much more about the Scriptures! If you want something more approachable with maps and context, I’d recommend the NIV Adventure Bible. I know it’s marketed to kids/teens but it is a good in-between between a reader’s Bible and a study one.

The detail in this bibles goes beyond words! Looking forward to diving into all of the information provided in this beautifully designed Bible!
