Q: Can i use this to mount a lightweight 15" lcd display on my camera tripod?

YES, you can. The bracket will hold 22-lbs. max. I used this kit to build a tripod stand for my projector. My 17-inch diameter steel shelf is pre-drilled for 100mm Vesa holes. It weighs about 7lbs with this bracket mount. The bracket comes with a universal Swiss-style Arca QR plate used by nearly all tripods. As long as both your tripod and its ball head are rated to take the total weight of your lcd display and hardware, then no problems. My 43-inch lcd tv weighs 15-lbs. My stand uses a carbon-fiber mini tripod. The legs support 100-lbs. The ball head supports 33-lbs. When there's no table, I attach my mini tripod to a carbon-fiber monopod and put the whole thing on the floor. My projector weighs 3-lbs. The monopod and mini tripod together adds 3-lbs. So the total weight is 7+3+3 or 13-lbs. Whatever you decide, make sure you test the whole setup for stability against bumps, tip-overs, and collapse. Even pros add weights to their tripods. But if you're worried about someone crashing into your equipment then move it to a safer place.

Q: I need to connect my vesa-compatible monitor to a tripod. can this product do that? if not, do you offer a product that does the trick?

Hello! Thank you for your question. Camera tripods should have the same two holes so we don't see why not, though we never actually tested it on a tripod , therefore we can't really say for sure. This is going to be the only thing that we have that can possibly do that.

Q: Is there a tripod base that can accept the quick attach point so i can quickly move the device between a vesa monitor stand and a camera tripod?

This was also my issue originally and what I did was buy a dual sided female adapter to screw to my tripod base. Then I realized that when attached, I cant even press down the tab to slide the block piece out. Wish they had better designs of these types of adapters.
