is this compatible with ikea train track?

I have both Ikea and Thomas tracks (no viaduct, though). You have to force them a little to make them fit together, but it's doable.

I know people said it is "compatible" with the Thomas wood train sets, but do the electric cars go up it on their own or do they have to be pushed?

We had no problem with the battery powered trains going up and over the viaduct.

Do chuggington engines ride under the viaduct?

We don't have that brand, however, we have found that most of these pieces are compatible with the wooden trains.
