I recently purchased a dwarf golden curls willow, the question is , what end of the cutting’s do I submerse into water, the end that is wrapped in amo

Hi, the end that is wrapped in a moist paper towel will be the end that will be submerged into water.

If a cutting is ordered as a gift, how long can it be in the gift box before it needs to be opened and put in water?

The cuttings come wrapped & saturated in water, so I personally could have left them in package for 3-5 days if not a full week. However I would not wait that long because the longer they wait the more chance something can go wrong. So I would say 3-5 days is safe, longer than that and mold could develop.

Whats the best size pot for this? Drains?

If you are going to do bonsai then you will want to start with a bigger pot like a 18x12 inches and once it has reached your desired height you will want to transfer it to a smaller pot that is 11x4 inches. Thank you!-andrea
