Just look at the length of the review, you’ll understand the
Not very happy with this purchase at all. Not sure if it was just my order but after receiving I quickly realised that this “Straight Edge” wasn’t straight at all. I’ve tested on numerous flat surfaces and it’s easy to tell that the straight edge was bent/ curved. Considering that main use for this is to level a guitar neck I can confidently say that this will NOT DO THE JOB. Soooo.... if you are as unfortunate as me and still wanted to actually use this product these are steps I had to take after purchasing this “Straigbt edge”:1) Cut a long piece of fine sand paper (I used 320 grid) around 22-24 inches.2) Find a completely flat surface such as (workshop top/ computer desk, table surfaces etc)3) You’ll need to get some masking tape, masking tape works best as it’s the easiest to use for the following steps.4) a] Stick a long piece of masking tape on the back of the sand paper piece which you’ve cut in sept 1 b] Stick another long piece of masking tape on your flat surface making sure that it’s pretty much the exact the same length as the sand paper c] Use superglue! Poor some glue and the masking tape of either the sand paper or your flat surface and stick them two together d] The reason why I’ve used masking tape rather then double sided tape is because masking tape can stay completely flat which is important if you want to correctly level a guitar neck.5) Okay so if you thought that this was already a hassle then you’ll be very happy to know that this step is by far the longest... yes you can finally grab you “straight edge and sand down both side until they actually are completely levelled.6) Now you’ll finally have a straight edge that looks completely wonky but is actually levelled and good to go.I’m not saying this will happen to everyone but if it happened to me then I’m sure there are other people out there who have received these curved straight edges and potentially could have cause damage to the guitar neck by no being able to figure out why it doesn’t seem to work.Wow this is a long one

Guitar fret spacing bar.
Guitar notches have sharp edges. Require filing down a bit. Apart from that it is OK.

Fails at its one job
I'm struggling to understand why this has such a high rating. It literally has to do one thing: be straight. It isn't. I've managed to sand mine down using some emery paper stuck to a marble kitchen counter so it's now at least useable. But out of the box, it's not fit for purpose.

Not straight!
Quick delivery, but the straight edge is not exactly straight 🤔🧐Will have to get it machined before it can be trusted.

Burrs
Everybody seems to ignore the deburring part of the manufacturing of these tools. They are sharp. I’m keeping this set because they weren’t the worst I’ve seen. Just be aware that there are some sharp edges that you want to consider before bringing this in contact with a guitar neck.
