Works as a charm ! ( with ipod classic 160Gb)
I've been using this holder\cover for more than 3 years now and absolutely happy about it.The First time I took my Ipod Classic 160Gb out of box , then it went straight to this protective cover\holder and I never took it out, except on about 3 or 4 occasions: when i accidentally dropped it on the concrete floor. Guess what? The cover , (front and back peaces) fell apart , but never broke, i simply snapped them peaces back together. There was no damage on Ipod itself too , except for a minor scratch , so I guess the cover took the blow ,opened up , and the player just slid out , that all.I'm using this cover\holder in two ways: every day at work, it's on the clip, attached to my pants belt , no matter if i use it or not. ( even if you don't use ipod , the whole thing is never in your way , you don';t eve remember that it's there)Also , I rollerblade a lot , and never skate without music too. This time it's attached by the same clip to the back side of my shorts.I never use the holder on my hand , so i don't use the included little strap and can't tell if that's working well.I like this little thing so much , I actually bought another one, exactly like this , in case I eventually break it , but so far the first one ( though plenty scratched by now ) still doing fine !

Pretty good, one of the best in category, but a word of caution
Pretty good, one of the best in category, but a word of caution. NO DECENT EXPLANATION OF HOW TO PUT ON WRIST BAND. I made up my own way of making it work, but there is no logical way on explained in any words as to how to make the band stick. The clip is easy enough and can even change directions once put on. That freaking band man! I mcguivered it, but it didn't seem designed to work the way it's supposed to. I had to keep bending it inside out to get the stick patch to latch onto the side of the band it's meant to stick too. This is kind of ridiculous, they made it way too complicated for something with NO written directions. Just a crappy diagram. But once you get it to work, it gets the job done, very sturdy, and makes my scratched up old ipod classic 120 look almost new. Purchased the case with these JVC HAFX1X Headphone, Xtreme-Xplosivs Pretty much the best I've ever bought man! lol

3 cases, 1 iPod
I love this case. I bought one for my Nano 4 years ago, and it's still protecting that device even though I passed it on. I bought it three years ago when I first received my iPod Classic, and it lasted for a good year and a half - but it didn't survive yet another drop onto the tile floor. I bought a different case then, a silicone one, and hated how it was big, bulky, and didn't want to come out of my pocket, so I replaced it with this one. And when this one bites the dust in noble service to protecting my iPod, I'll buy it again.I have a Gelaskins skin on my iPod, so this case shows it off nicely. The ports are exposed, so I can leave it in the case to charge or sync, the lock tab is easy to access, and the headphone port is open.I carry my iPod 24/7, and because of this case it's in excellent shape.

DO NOT BUY
Absolutely horrible. Belt clip is cheap plastic. Mine broke in less than a week and am currently trying to obtain a refund. I bought it because Griffin cases have been great. Case itself is awesome but I bought for use with exercising and using the belt clip and armband which with the 3-piece construction I cannot use now with a broken belt clip.I did also buy at the same time an iPod Video Armband Case Sportsband Black by MA Accesories which has worked much better with the 1 piece fabric construction. It is bulkier, but I'm guessing it will last much longer due to the material it is made out of.

Decent
I like the case itself, but don't buy this if you really want to use the clip or the arm band. I can not get the clip to snap on to the back of the case, no matter how hard I try, which means I can't use it or the arm band. However if you're looking for a sturdy case to protect for scratches and dropping, the case itself is good and is low price. The case serves as a screen protector too, which is nice. I did notice some scratches on the back of my iPod, but I'm not sure if they were there before I put the case on. Over all it was a good purchase for me because I only NEEDED the case, that armband was just a bonus.

It comes apart too easily with the least amount of effort
This case is no living up to our expectations. It comes apart too easily with the least amount of effort. It does not totally fall apart and we are able to still use it which is why I gave it at least 2 stars. The problem is when it falls or if you bump it against something accidentally, the iPod falls out very easily. The previous case that looks exactly the same lasted for about 5 years. It could have been a different brand or quality, not sure. But this one is not as good. Unfortunately, I will have to look for another case.

No other case to buy
I have been using this case for over 5 years. I finally just had to replace it because I broke the clip on a ruck. The clip broke slightly easy but that was after 5 years of abuse. I bought a new one just for the clip and still use the original case I bought 5 years ago. The case has held up strong and saved my iPod from numerous falls. The case protects well, the iPod is still easy to see and use, and there is a many different ways to use the case for different scenarios. In my opinion there is no other case to buy.

I love this case for using my iPod at the gym
I love this case for using my iPod at the gym. Getting the belt clip on is very hard. I used some Vaseline, a towel, and a clamp to get it on. However, I don't expect I'll have to worry about it coming off!
