I've purchased a number of these thermal underwear sets for the cold, windy, winter months, to include the black and white varieties, and am very pleased. They hold up well and offer a good balance between quality and price. While the quality may not match a superior offering, the price reflects this - so I would place these in the functional and affordable category. They're comfortable and are comfy either for sleeping or under daily wear clothes without adding bulk, in short order it's easy to grow accustomed to layering them and forget they're even there. They're so warm that often during the winter months I would be outside for extended periods of time without a coat and forget about the cold and wind, given the effectiveness of these thermals. The thermals are versatile, look nice, and are stretchy, yet not overly so. The sizing is perfect. Overall I've found the Amazon Essentials products to offer quality products at a very reasonable price - and the thermal underwear matches this theme. Highly recommended.

Got these for 94 years old Dad who is cold all the time. He Loves them! So warm and cozy! Very happy!

Very comfortable but light weight waffle knit. Excellent for layering. Since it is thin weave I'm not sure it would be enough for seriously frigid temps, say below teens. Fit is good, snug enough to not bunch up under clothing but still some room in the butt and groin. The cuffs on the pants look like they may unravel after a lot of wear, but for the price, it's still a bargain!
