Hummingbird Feeder Metal Base with Perch & Tray | Replacement for Many Glass Feeders | by Best Home Products (Silver w/Red Flowers)

Much to my dismay I found that the screw thread feature on this base was not a typical screw type, but is instead a series of concentric half-circles. I imagine it is some sort of "engineered from hell" where you push the base onto the bottom and twist once. Sadly the bottle screw is not threaded that way. It is absolutely impossible to screw this base on to my feeder. I have tried several other options, including using my old base which works with my feeder, but not with this top as it doesn't seal. So even if I manage to get it all put together, it still leaks a syrup mess all over my porch drawing the most awful ants. I feel this was falsely advertised as being a replacement because it never mentioned the different kind of screw thread features, and that it WILL NEVER EVER fit a traditional screw thread feature on a bottle. Big waste of money, and I'm afraid now I've kept it too long to return, trying to jerry rig it to work. I wish I didn't even have to give it a one. Complete waste of money and time. And it's an ugly color besides.

I've purchased 2 of these now. The first came with a beautiful glass feeder. I thought my first one broke. When I read reviews, I realized that the design of just really poor. It leaks horribly and all of the food is on the ground. When I purchased the second one, I took a food-grade sealer adhesive and joined the 2 pieces. Works great until you have to clean it. :-(

This base was a perfect fit for our hummingbird feeder! We have several feeders in our yard, but there was one that didn't have the perch. The hummingbirds would go to the feeder but didn't stay like they do with the other feeders. Now that I put the base with the perches on -- they are fighting to get to it! I would definitely recommend this product! I have several from this company -- they are easy to clean and no rust. Hummingbirds seem to LOVE THE PERCH!!!

Please note, this is a replacement part and has no bottom to hold liquid but if all you need is top part this is the ticket. My perches broke off over the years and this was all I needed.

These bases with metal top are very sturdy. I did replace my old ones with these and sprayed the metal part with a clear rustoleum sealer because the other ones rusted. My hummingbirds are crazy about these feeders. Dozens come daily!

Love the perch for the birds. It doesn't have a great seal so if there are high winds or if the birds land on it too hard it leaks.

I live in a hot climate and my feeder is in the morning sun. I actually purchased the entire feeder. This feeder DOES NOT leak even when the sun makes it hot. The hummingbirds love it! My other 2 feeders (not from this company) both leak in the sun. I highly recommend this feeder!

Returned bc they didn't fit my feeders. Looked nice & sturdy though. Customer service was good - no issuses when returned.
