Great product, Perfect if It arrives in one piece.
This chalk is very nice. Marks well, especially with the new edge which is nice and thin. I suppose I'll have to keep the thin edge. The main thing is it brushes off easily as well as giving a distinct mark. I've already used the white chalk with great success. The white arrived in one piece, but the blue chalk arrived broken in two. I think I will return the blue and hope to receive another in one piece. The pieces would be manageable now, while they are large pieces, but soon I'll be down to two pieces that are too hard to keep the edges and will become two small pieces - each too small to handle. But the product is good! An little extra layer of bubble wrap around the chalk package would greatly increase chance safe arrival. It's in a thin papery box inside a large bubble shipping envelope which gets tossed on the porch by the door and it just can't withstand being tossed like that.

Arrived broken, poor packaging, returned for replacement.
Item: Clover Triangle Blue Chalk, 87 triangle.Pro: Expensive but reportedly is the best of this type of product.Con: As noted by others, very poor protection in shipping container for a compressed chalk, thin triangle.Arrived broken; will return for replacemnt. I also ordered the white version, and hope that it will arrive, despite poor packaging, unbroken.

broken
My chalk didn't come broken but it broke relatively quickly after using it a time or two. All 3 pieces broke like nothing. Trying to draw with the broken chalk is irritating and inefficient. I don't know if this chalk is supposed to break & I'm supposed to know that and just baby it to death or if the quality is junky -don't know, never used tailor chalk before. So I bought some at Walmart & will see if it does better. If that breaks apart real easy too then I'll figure it's just the way tailor's chalk is & I'll have to be much more careful with it. But if it lasts and does good without breaking and being handled like fine china then I'll try to remember to come back & update.

Great for Artwork/ Painting
Unlike most of the other users, I use this tracing paper when I am transferring a drawing into a painting. Normally, I will draw my portraits first and to make sure that I get the same results, I purchased these as it is hard to find "regular" tracing paper in multiple colors.I have not used this on fabric, so will be basing my review on using these tracing paper to trace onto a painted background with acrylic paints. These tracing papers are wonderful- they are bright in color and easy to use when placing an additional sheet on top and tracing over with a pen/ pencil/ paint brush handle. They are difficult to remove from the painted surface, but normally I am painting over the lines so that doesn't bother me all too much, but the package does say to remove with a cleaner and NOT use heat. I have used a hair dryer to dry my paint faster and the traced lines wouldn't even lighten! These tracing papers are similar to the wax based papers, but will rub off onto a canvas relatively easily similar to the chalky style tracing papers. The colors are vibrant and are constantly surprising me with how easy they are to manipulate and use. I have reused the same paper multiple times, and as long as the lines aren't in the same spot (the entire paper is technically one time use, but as long as I have a general line I'm am okay with this as the line will just have a few gaps that I will fill in when painting). If using these for a large project such as a pattern for an outfit or a large canvas, I can see these being slightly frustrating. The size is just a bit larger than standard printer paper, so they would need to be either taped together or moved consistently in order to get the full project complete.I have purchased these papers many times and would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a smaller scale colored trace, as these are my consistent go to! Now that I know they are available on Amazon, I will definitely be returning to purchase time and time again!

Perfect for sewing or embroidery
This is what you need if you are tracing out a pattern for sewing or embroidery. Rather than cutting out the original of a sewing pattern, I prefer to trace off onto other paper to preserve the original (and the other sizes included) and then use this to mark off the pattern onto my fabric. This is also perfect for making patterns from existing garments. The marks left on fabric fade a bit while sewing if you are pressing seams (steamy iron), but they also wash out when laundering your item. I’ve tried similar products that did NOT wash out completely, which could ruin all the time and energy put into a project - especially if you are dealing with a sheer or light-colored fabric. I cover the back with tape to prevent a tracing wheel from perforating the paper so I get multiple uses from one sheet.

Invaluable for sewing
I was so glad to find this item on Amazon because it has become impossible to find at Joann's and other retailers that sell fabric. When you're using a commercial pattern printed on the thin, delicate tissue paper, tracing paper and a tracing wheel remain the best way to transfer the important sewing marks to your fabric. You'll need to choose the appropriate color paper so that the marks show up on your fabric. You might need to test out which ones and how hard you need to press down with your tracing wheel to get the lines to show on your fabric without tearing your pattern.
