If I were allowed I would give this 6 stars!
Wonderful Music! Nielsen at the height of his powers - contemporary with the fifth symphony. VERY attractive, melodious, imaginative, subtly patriotic (except perhaps God Save the Queen!) written as incidental music to a play celebrating the reunification of Denmark after WW1. This is the first complete recording of the score only published in 2007. I have played it continuously since it arrived! Highly recommended!!
