Pretty Pattern Postcards Cards – November 1, 2015

The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful set of postcard size designs. Each design is simply more delightful than the last one. I want to carry this book around with me constantly and color in it. It has birds, geometric patterns, sewing, fruit, flowers, and all sorts of other pretty and fun subjects.I had never seen any of Beth Gunnell's designs before, so I was taking a chance with this book and I am glad that I did. After testing this one, I immediately ordered her second book of floral postcards so that I can have one book in my purse and one at home. I really hope she continues with this style of book and maybe some larger format ones, too, that are for adults versus what seems to be her coloring books for young girls.The designs are, in fact, pre-set up for use as postcards with areas for shipping address, writing area, and stamp on the reverse side of each card. There are even cute little designs on that side as well which you can color with a lick of ink/pencil. The size of the book (and pages) is 7.75 x 4.75 inches.The designs are printed on one side of heavyweight, frame-able card stock that has a glued edge that makes removal from the book as simple as can be. All you have to do is carefully pull the design away from the edge and it is ready for mailing or framing as you choose. I could easily get this book to lay fairly flat but you can always remove pages for coloring if you wish to do so, too.This is probably the best paper I have in any of my coloring books, etc. The only thing that bled through these pages were my Copic and Prismacolor alcohol-based markers and those bleed through everything. My Sharpies, both fine and ultra-fine did NOT bleed through and I checked neon, dark, and bright colors as well. None of my water-based marker did either. My gel pens worked great but needed a little more drying time as the ink apparently sat on the surface of this great paper and did not sink into it. My coloring pencils worked fantastic.

Love this book of postcards! I am finding that I enjoy colouring postcards more than I do actual colouring pages for two reasons: 1. The postcards are smaller, and I complete one before I get bored, and 2. I actually use the postcards to send to friends and family as birthday cards/notecards/thank you notes. They are a big hit. Nice variety of whimsical designs in this book, including several that are suitable to send to men. I bought a package of these clear envelopes  - 100 - Clear Resealable A2 / A6 Card Envelopes Polypropylene Cello Bags 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" 1.5mil (A6)  ---- I address my postcard and add a note, then slide the postcard into the clear envelope, seal and add a first class postage stamp for mailing. That way if the card gets wet in the mail, the colours won't run, particularly when I use gel pens. A couple people have told me they leave the card right in the cello envelope, add a strip of magnet to the back, and it becomes a fridge decoration!

i purchased these for my mom around Mothers Day. They arrived quickly and ahead of time. They are small in size, and the perfect postcard thickness. The outlines are crisp and clear, and very easy to color. They don't bleed through at all. We used Chameleon pens, and they worked perfectly. They have wonderful perforated edges to pull perfectly from the rest of the pad. The company does have other styles and types of pads as well. I would certainly purchase from them again. I would certainly rate it a 9/10. My only suggestion would be perhaps a few more pages of cards in the pad. We were so excited and quickly colored them all.

Beautiful designs on beautiful, high quality card stock. Some the details are small, but not frustratingly so. These are the perfect size for coloring on-the-go and I like them so well, I may purchase another set.They are just slightly oversized for mailing in the USA (4.5" x 6") using the lower "post card rate", so if you are mailing one of these in the US, be aware that you may need to affix First Class (letter rate) postage. (4.5 Stars for non-standard size.)

Love these. Once colored they make wonderful postcards. The designs are beautiful and the paper takes colored pencil and pen beautifully. It does not run or smear. I always put a sealer over colored pencil and pen. After doing so I sent the ones I had finished out as Christmas Cards. Really liked this selection.

The designs are not so small that they're impossible to color. I use fine tip markers, pencils, and thick gel pens all in the same picture and the result is gorgeous. I tear out the postcard and use a mini clipboard for coloring. After coloring, I'll write a little note for someone on the postcard side and give them to friends, family, and coworkers.I love the smaller size, its not as intimidating as a big coloring page. I highly recommend this little book.

These postcards to color were delivered today and they are STUNNING!!! I can't wait to do them and send them to all my friends and then I'll get all the accolades! Nice heavy paper to send through the mail with places got the stamp, the addressee and your personal note just like what postcards are. I'm very happy. By the way, I also received the Midnight Garden Coloring Book from Amazon. All the pages have a black back ground and they too are stunning!

Super cute cards to color! I love how thick they are for when you use markers to color! Each card has lines to write the address and a place for the stamp! I am loving them! It is a great way to stay in touch with people AND to just relieve stress at the end of a hard day!

I have bought several adult-level colouring books, plus two postcard books, including this one. I keep this in my desk with a set of pencil crayons and colour while on conference calls. I find I use this one the most. I also actually use these postcards. I love receiving snail mail, and assume others do too, so I ship off quick notes on these postcards to my grandmother and other relatives and friends.

Lovely pictures, nice heavy card stock. Works well with gel pens. Postcards colour up quickly as opposed to a book - which is nice for keeping your flow going with one project at a time. Highly Recommend.

Nice size for a handbag, for colouring when you are out and about.

Fab postcards for adults to colour and send. Some are quite simple patterns while others are quite intricate. Nice thick card aswell so felt pens don't bleed through.
