These are fantastic for hiking with. I bought them specifically for hiking the Narrows in Zion National Park. The two-pack was great so I could give one to my son hiking with me. They were easy to hold onto while hiking through wet and rocky terrain. It is great that they're telescopic so they get shorter and easier to carry when I don't need a hiking stick. They feel high quality and will last us a long time. The tip didn't fall off, which is much better than my previous hiking stick.

These poles are really good. Learned a lot on my first trek with them. First the quick release clamps are great so the pole length can be adjusted at any time while hiking dependent on the terrain. That is shorter for steep inclines or longer for steep declines or else comfortable height for level walking. The clamps work well and securely lock the poles in position. Love the price point as i saw poles no less than $90 and upwards of $250 at REI. Admittedly they were Carbon Fiber and these are aluminum, but these are fine and require no baby care.

I waited until I had hiked with these several times before writing the review. I was tired of my expensive name brand poles sliding down while being used (I guess I flick my wrists and they start to unscrew?) and wanted to try some poles with levers instead of twist lock adjustments. I chose these because they seemed to be the best value (even if a few of the reviews seemed sketchy) and am glad that I did. I had one adjustment on one pole slide only once. All I had to do was open the lock, twist the knob about 1/4 of a twist and it never did it again. You may need to adjust the locks like this once before you start, but then you should be good to go. They are a light pole for the price point (I didn't notice a weight difference between these and my expensive poles but there might be one) and they seem to be well made.

Was looking for a pair of starter hiking sticks for my kids and came across with this item. It was delivered fast and packed OK. It's very convenient that it comes with a storage pouch which has a small zipped pocket for the two extra heads. The plastic handles are OK but not that greatly smooth nor does it be absorbent. The wrist hoops are nicely strong and lined with fleece material so it won't rub too hard on your wrist. The collapsible poles are built in three sections with aluminum alloy with two cramps between each section. However, the lower pole sections are kind of skinnier than it should be which made the poles light weighted but not that strong. Refer to attached pictures you will see how the pole sideway deflection would be under about 150lbs weight with the pole fully extended. After all, this pair is meant to be used for my kids as starter poles and I'm sure it's more than enough for them to go enjoy the mountains.

Ordered 9/14/23, promised for 9/20/23, received 2 days later, 9/16/23; 4 days earlier than promised. Quickest delivery yet, via Amazon. Exactly as advertised, packaged very well and very sturdy. Due to space limitations at the Masonic Cave Degree in Kingston, TN; this telescoping cane will be easier to store inside the cave. Had extreme issues with my one piece cane, storing out of others' way - due to 51" length, inside the cave. May consider ordering another set, at this price!...

These are great. I am 6'4" and can be used by someone taller if needed. Hiked many moles with them.

I've hiked 170 mi in these trekking poles since I purchased them in Nov '17, mainly in the Catskills and Whites. No probs so far. Sometimes they slide in at the joints, but nothing that a screw tightening, finger tight, doesn't fix. Also they're on the heavier side compared to pricier poles, but not bad. I'm pleased with my purchase and hope to hike many miles with these poles! UPDATE: Jan 2019, I've hiked countless more miles with these poles and they've held up surprisingly well.

Absolutely incredible poles. Very strong and saved my ankle a few times! As someone with bad knees from the army, I cannot imagine ever going on a hike without these anymore. Highly recommend these strong, versatile, and easily adjustable hiking poles!

Used these on a 17.5km hike last week, straight from the bag. Setup took a couple minutes to figure out what height I wanted and how tight to make the adjustments, but from now on should take even less time because of the markings I can use for reference. No slippage at all in the post adjustments during the hike, and the hike was up and down, around 400m elevation gain on very rocky terrain, wooden boardwalks, beaches, roots and forest floor, and mud. I am very impressed with these lightweight poles: I was skeptical to use them at all but persisted and was singing their praises within the first km! Two comments that might drive others a bit crazy: 1) the rubber tops don't absorb sweat (which I actually prefer) so if you get hot hands, you'll stay wet; 2) the straps have a bit of hook & loop edge material that rubbed against my thumbs over time, but that's on me for not tightening the straps away from my hand better. Helped with a great workout and I'm looking forward to the next hike! Overall, would recommend.
