Do i only use that brand of blade or can i use any generic blade

You can use any safety blade all brands will fit. The blades you get with it are superb. I have tried many different brands till I found about 3 which are suitable for my skin. Try lots of different types of blades because it's amazing how what suits one person is totally wrong for another. Feather blades are the sharpest blades you can buy but are too sharp for me and don't suit my skin. Try Derby blades to start and try a few brands and see what works for you. But the king c Gillette blades that come with it I personally find perfect.

Does the head of the razor retain heat?
