7 O'clock Super Stainless Double Edge Safety Razor Blades , 5 Count (Pack of 20)

My blade of choice in both my shavette and safety razor. Here's a ranking of the blades I've tried so far. #1. Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainless (russian). Super smooth have, zero irritation and sharp enough to cut on the first or second pass. Gives just the right amount of "feedback" to let you know where your stubble needs more attention and where you can skip over. Not many blades are this intuitive. My only gripe would be the amount of glue used on the wrapper, it tends to make you fuss with the blade in your hand more than you'd like to. Lasts around 4 shaves. My personal favorite #2. Treet (orange and blue label). Similar smoothness to the 7 O'clock but less sharp, requires a few passes. Cheaper, and less frills. Lasts around 3-4 shaves. A CLOSE second place. Almost a toss up but the Gillette takes it. #3 Feather Hi-Stainless. Sharpest blades ever, no question, but slightly irritating depending on technique and no room for error. Cuts clean on the first pass. Use only on thick beards! For a moderate beard like mine its simply too sharp and too costly to justify. Lasts 4 shaves. #4 Astra (both types). Found these to be moderately sharp and did not irritate the skin at all. Not as sharp as Treet/Gillette imo. Takes some effort for a baby's butt smooth shave but if you're not too picky these will get the job done. Lasts 2-3 shaves #5 Shark Super Stainless. Great middle of the road blade as far as sharpness and lack of irritation. EXCELLENT blade for beginners, very forgiving as far as poor technique is concerned and gets the job done. Too bad they don't last too long without tugging/pulling. 2 shaves max #6 Big Ben (blue box). Another middle of the road, just not as good all around as Shark (both made by LORD). Did notice some irritation due to its slightly less-than-sharp edge. Stick with shark, its around the same price and you'll get a better shave. Lasts 2 shaves #7 Derby. No irritation...and not sharp at all. Didnt care for it one bit. Had to change the blade out mid shave since it simply stopped cutting! Maybe a bad batch?? If you dont have much of a beard I guess these will work, but why not try something better? Lasts NO shaves :P #8 Trig (made by Treet). Another "Derby clone". Unimpressive, lackluster performance. #9 LORD Super Chrome. Similar to Derby, didnt cut too well, got dull quick. Could have spent 30 min and probably got the job done but why bother?? Tossed it mid shave, boo! #10 LORD Platinum. With every shave I prep with Proraso pre-shave and Proaso shave soap...this time it didn't help. This one messed my face up BAD. First 1/4'' near the side burn and I had a 1'' gash across my face (didnt notice til after washing off soap). Next day my face was on FIRE, massive razor burn (only shaving with the grain mind you). The sharpness was there alright, right up there with 7 O'clock, but it seemed as if the blade were almost serrated! STAY AWAY!

The Gillette 7 O’Clock “green” blades (St. Petersburg, Russia) are favored by many DE shavers as a consistently sharp, smooth blade. They are that for me as well. I get 4-5 close and comfy shaves from each blade, 1 more than I generally expect from my super sharp Feather blades. These, to my face, seem smoother and easier to get a close shave with. I’ve never had a dud. Consistent, predictable high performance at 14¢ per blade. Less than 3 pennies per shave. Try squeezing that much value out of crappy Dorco blades with Dollar Shave Club, then come back and tell me what happened. I like PolSilver, Kai, Voskhod, Personna Lab Blues, and Feathers too. If it is on the sharp end of the spectrum I like it. Really smooth ones are Kai and PolSilver. These are almost as sharp and smooth as those blades at half the price. Just about my favorite all around blade when price is a factor.

I'll start this off by saying these are by far my favorite blades from a cost to quality perspective. I have tried tons of different ones but these have become my staple as they are sharp and give a nice smooth cut but yet very economical. That being said, be careful of who you buy from. A lot of negative reviews for incorrect items. I ordered from Tedds Throve and got the incorrect blades although in a package that Amazon pulls with the correct description. Super Safety sent me the correct blades.

These, along with Astra Superior Platinum and Rockwell Razors DE blades, are some of my favorite razor blades. They seem to be on the same level of sharpness as Astras, yet a bit smoother. I truly enjoy shaving with them. The only drawback is they are definitely NOT "Super Stainless." I use each blade for about a week, and none of the other brands of blades I have leave rust in my razors. These ones start to show rust spots on them after the second day of use. Not a huge deal since they are disposable, just a minor gripe and annoyance at the name "Super Stainless" which seems to be rather silly given that's the one thing they certainly aren't!

Sometimes you find something in life that just fits you like it doesn't fit anyone else. When I first got into using a double edge blade for shaving I got one of those sampler packs. I tried all of the different brands and versions and nothing worked for me like the green 7 o clocks. They just work perfectly for my contours and skin type. They are the prefect blend of sharpness and flexibility. These aren't as sharp as feathers, but they absolutely last longer. I can get 3 or 4 shaves out of each blade before it pulls uncomfortably. The sharper blades trash my skin leaving me bleeding from multiple spots. These are the perfect blend of sharpness and durability. I bought one of these mega packs which lasted me for YEARS. Finally made it to the end of the pack and thought "maybe I should try one of those sampler packs again...". I tried 3 different blades from the sample pack and went running back to the green 7 o clocks.

They work well, are super sharp, yet it has been hard to cut myself. My dad has always complained when getting new blades that the first shave is awful because the blades are too sharp and a couple shaves are needed to get the optimum sharpness. I find that these blades are very sharp and cut very well the first time. It is possible that they are not as sharp as my Dad is used to and that is why I do not cut myself much when first used, but I like the idea of not having to dull blades on my skin until they are at ideal to use. These blades do their job well, even with the tough hair. Last time I had a straight razor shave I dulled three straight razors and the barber wanted to yell at me for dulling all of his blades. These razors handle my hair well and I can use them several times, depending on time in between shaves, before discarding. I would buy again.

I did a fair amount of research online before deciding to purchase the Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainless razor blades. It was always listed within the top five or six best shaving blades. But most site warned prospective buyers to be sure and get the blades manufactured in Russia. The blades I received came in a cardboard sleeve with what I assume is Indian writing on it, but the packs of blades inside where marked in English saving they were made in Russia. I received them yesterday and shaved with one of those blades this morning and it took several passes to get a fairly close shave because the blade was dull, and my face was on fire when I was done. The only other blades I've used is the Merkur and Dorco Prime Platinum blades and they are far superior to this blade in every way. Then there is the issue of the wax or whatever it is they use to seal the paper wrapper around the blade. It is extremely difficult to remove the wrapper and there is a large amount of the goo left on the blade. I don't know if these blades are actual Russia made or if it is a quality control problem in the plant but I'll never buy them again. At least not through Amazon.

Iv'e tried a few other blades, all purchased here on Amazon. For a good low cost option, these are worth a try. The blades are sharp and and last a few shaves, I would buy again, but there are still a few brands I will try later after I finish the 100 count this package comes with. The only downside is the cheap cardboard boxes the blades are packaged in. A few have opened up on their own and the blades fall out, even though they are still packaged in wax paper, in my toilet kit they are all loose. They come from the supplier on a clip strip for a retail store, just like you bought the whole clip strip, about three feet long.

Gillette 7 O’Clock の緑箱には似たようなのが二種類あって Super Stainless（ロシア製）と Permasharp（インド製）とで別物です。 この商品のタイトルにはSuper Stainlessと書いてあるし 私も２種類あるのを予め知っていたため、画像もよく確認してSuper Stainlessと書いてあることを確認して購入したのですが 届いたのはPermasharpでした。 嘘だろと思って画像を見たら画像が差し替えられていてPermasharpになっています。 注文履歴のほうで画像を確認するとSuper Stainlessの画像が出てくる。 購入する方はたぶん7 O’Clock Permasharpが届くので気を付けてください。 ※追記 インドグリーンも使い心地が良かったです ロシア製と変わらずよく剃れてスムーズ 1600円程度ならシャークとか買うより全然こちらのがおすすめですね
