Greater Goods Dual-Head Stethoscope for Nurses, Medical Students & EMTs

I’m in Nursing School and I bought this for my clinical and it unfortunately got stolen and when at the hospital. When you purchased it you get a lifetime warranty without any additional cost so once I initially got it, I registered for that warranty and as soon as it got stolen, I reached out to their customer service by emailing them and asking for advice, immediately got a response and they sent me a new one and it looked exactly the same was the same exact quality and they were so kind. No questions asked whether that was because of the warranty or not they were super understanding and kind and for that alone, I’ll continue buying from their company cause I love when customer service is about the customer experience! I love this company. This is my fourth product from them, and everything they make is absolutely outstanding. From the moment you open the package, the attention to detail and quality of this stethoscope are evident. The unit itself is sturdy, well-crafted, and feels professional. It’s single-tubed (many others are double-tubed) so this may not do as well in a super-busy, loud hospital setting. In a non-noisy environment, the single-tube approach helps cut down on the ambient noise floor, instead letting your ears focus on what they need to...your patient! The chestpiece has a plastic edge instead of a cold metal edge. How many times have we all cringed a little when that cold stethoscope first gets pressed onto our chest or back? That cringe is non-existent here, and there’s nothing but comfort while being examined. In my testing, I had no issues hearing heartbeats, breathing, blood flow, peristalsis, etc. The tips fit well in my ears, and it’s a tight enough fit to allow you to hear what you need to without feeling like your ears are being crushed. Both the tips and chest piece are removable for cleaning or replacement. (Pro tip: 70% isopropyl alcohol does the trick...) Two super cool things: 1) You buy this thing and you’re automatically a part of the Greater Goods “free parts for life” program. They’ll send you additional ear tips or chestpiece replacements for the life of your product. 2) With every purchase you make with Greater Goods, they donate money toward ending child sex trafficking, which is *awesome*. I may sound like a company plant writing this review, but I’m honestly not. I’m just a very impressed customer who is thrilled at the quality of the products these guys churn out time and time again. Bought for nursing school. Super light weight, addorable and comes with extra pieces. The sound travels well through it!

Don't know much about stethoscopes in general but for basic livestock diagnostics these are good for hearing gut sounds and checking lungs. Can definitely distinguish crackles in sheep or goats with pneumonia.

Got this for my EMS class and I already love it! Unfortunately haven't gotten to use it just yet but I can't wait until I can :) The weight is perfect, not to heavy and not insanely light. Sound quality is amazing! I listened to my own heartbeat and lung sounds over and over. Very comfortable as well! I was worried the ear pieces would get uncomfortable, but they didn't!

I tried another stethoscope here on Amazon (the Omron Sprague), the supposed gold standard, but it was just so bad that I had to return it (it was sold by Amazon, so this isn't a "counterfeit" problem). Also had to return an Omron BP monitor recently -- evidently some companies don't care about quality control once they've made a name for themselves. Well, fool me twice, shame on me. When I called their customer service dept, they even tried to tell me that I could not return it and that Amazon would reject the return -- wrong ... This stethoscope, on the other hand, is wonderful. Even though my head is fairly wide, the earpieces were snug but comfortable. The acoustics were excellent (I'm not a medical student or professional, so take for what it's worth). But for what I need it for, this is a very nice stethoscope and I can easily hear what I expect to hear. This is my second GreaterGoods purchase and I'm very happy with it (oddly enough, the last one was also a BP monitor). I haven't had to talk to customer support, so I can't talk to that, but I suppose that's the best customer support you can have -- where your products are so good, you don't need it.

It lost it's pristine white color in 3 months...while it was sitting in the bag. Haven't even used it. I tried to claim warranty but the company says we don't replace items bought on amazon.
