Very versatile Rubber Bands

Glad I looked on Amazon!!!!!
I haven't used any of these yet but I have used them...or at least some like them....before and really liked them. They work really well to strap down your crock pot lid for traveling. The heat from the crock pot does not phase the rubber bands. They are great to use because they stretch really well and are almost indestructible!!! I've been looking for them in the stores but couldn't find them.

Resistant to Heat. Unaffected by Oil.
REGULAR RUBBER BANDS:-- Low cost Convenient Great for everyday use. But they tend to become brittle and break when used to keep objects together long term. And they melt when exposed to oil. SILICONE RUBBER BANDS:-- More expensive Convenient Impervious to long term deterioration from exposure to air, oils or the elements. Much more likely to still be intact after long service. These silicone bands excel at uses for which regular rubber bands are not adequate. EXAMPLE 1:-- I once used a regular rubber band to secure a coiled-up hank of 550 cord. I put it in a tool box and when I next looked at it a few months later, the rubber band had melted into the porous cord in a sticky mess. I now use silicone rubber bands. They do the job without melting or becoming brittle. EXAMPLE 2:-- It can be used to secure a spray tube on an aerosol can of lubricant. A regular rubber band melts in a short time.

These bands worked for me!
I used these bands on a rotisserie chicken this weekend and they worked well. Since it was a small chicken I found that at first a couple of the bands wanted to slip off but when I used a third band to tie together two of the bands they stayed on well and came off easily. I loved that they washed up quickly too. If you're like me and don't know how to tie up a chicken with some string, these bands should work for you.

They do not melt in the car. Rubber bands are strong.
I don't know what I would do without these. They save me on baggies as I can use them on cheese. They take over 100 degrees of heat when left in the car around items. Fabric softener does not degrade them like other rubber bands. They are worth thousands of cheap bands.

Worth It
Started using them for the chickens on a dual rotisserie BBQ. Worked amazing and never had any issues. They will melt when a bird catches fire so I have been told, but lets be honest, if whatever you are cooking catches fire you have more to worry about than 2 or 3 missing bands. The part that I was amazed with really is they were small when I first opened the package and I didn't think they would stretch much. They do, 1 band will stretch and fit over an entire chicken. I put one around the breast holding the wings in and one around the tail and leg bones holding the feet closer to the rod. Also used them in the smoker on misc stuff. Works great and they come off easy, wipe fairly clean and go in the dishwasher. Ordered them as stocking stuffers for family.

Three have broken in 3 months!
I’ve had these for three months and have had three break already. I bought them because I like to put them around open bags of vegetables in the freezer and other uses in the kitchen, although not cooking with them. Two broke straight out of the package and one broke when I was trying to stretch it around a 15oz can of food. I wouldn’t even try to use them on something like a turkey. I thought they would be more durable than rubber, but they’re not.

Good bands, even for the price
Got 25 rubber bands per package. 5 different colors, 5 pieces per color. The rubber bands have a distinct stretch limit at about 5 times their original size. Avoid stretching too much when tightening food and exposing to high heat. The increased surface area and thinness of the rubber bands will chase them to snap. Tie several together for bigger food portions. Overall, good for other applications, not only food. I don't think these expire and deteriorate over time.

I like to slip them in with wedding presents
One of the original silicone bands, they are still the best quality and best all-round size. You get what you pay for in silicone bands. These never rot, however often they are in the freezer, oven, however stretched they are over pasta and coffee packets, big opened cat kibble bags, rolls of paper etc. etc. I like to slip them in with wedding presents!

Information manquante
