3 1/8 Inch Grill Thermometer 2 Pack Replacement for BBQ Grill and Smoker

Look great, high quality, easy to assemble. Work perfectly with the threads on my Oklahoma Joe Longhorn. Install Tip: Use the extra nut and washer to get the thermometer face perfectly rotated. Carefully hand tighten until it stops, if therm face is upside down, hand rotate back off until perfect. Use 2 wrenches and rotate 2nd nut towards the smoker housing. The therm, washer and nut should be snug and it won’t rotate on you. DONT use the therm face housing to hand tighten directly onto the smoker, you’ll manually move the needle position and the therm will never be accurate.

A wonderful addition to my Weber grill. Installed on the lid at grate level for accurate food cooking temperature. I recommend and would purchase again.

I used these to replace the OEM thermometers that came on my Charbroil grill. The Charbroil thermometers are the definition of "you get what you pay for" and were not accurate once since buying the grill. Anyways, these were recommended by... someone... I can't recall. Not important. The low down: These things work pretty well. They're not the most sophisticated or high-tech, but... they're $20 for two of them. For the penny-pinchers, that's a pretty good deal. There's only two real issues I have with them: 1) I had to buy a special drill bit to install them, and 2) they gather moisture. Installation *after* buying the drill bit was a breeze, but... having to buy extra tools wasn't really part of the plan and "drives" the cost up a little. I got to buy a new tool, in a sense, so no complaints there, but that's not everyone's agenda. Anyways, I had to drill roughly 3/4" holes into my grill to install them. That's not that big of a deal because if you're grill already has thermometers on it, there's already holes piloted for you. Put a layer of something in the grill to catch the metal shards and presto-change-o... new thermometers. Moisture retention is, so far, annoying at worst. It hasn't effected the performance of the thermometers at all so far (Purchased in June 22. Now September 22). The water does eventually evaporate out with time and heat though, and, to reiterate, so far it has had zero effect on their performance. That said, it's certainly not a pro. Beyond those two gripes though, these things have been great. My smoke game has improved thanks to them, but the real help was with grilling chicken and burgers and such. I'm giving them 4 stars basically because of what I mentioned above (the moisture, mostly), but I would still recommend these things... especially if you bought a cheaper grill (maybe Weber's OEM stuff is better than Charbroil. I don't know, but Charbroil is more of a bargain brand grill anyways). For $20 though, these are a solid upgrade to a bargain grill, or a grill that doesn't have thermometers on it at all. If they break, I'll update, but so far they've taken drought and hard and heavy rain like champs. I would recommend them.

I had one of the bbq isle specials from Lowe’s in my Traeger and it was always making me think I was running colder than I actually was. The temperature accuracy on this gauge is awesome. However, on the Pro series 22, I had to use my drill to open up the hole in the Traeger just barely. coulda been paint so there’s no complaint. it fits tight, reads right, and looks good compared to the other one. Definitely a must have.

This is an excellent temp gauge for my smoker. It's easy to read, it has colored markings and a large dial for keeping track of where your temperature is at, that's handy if you have old eyes like me.

This is probably the best temperature gauge I have ever owned. I had to enlarge the hole to accommodate but was so worth it

I have a Traeger smoker and its been really hard to know if the temperature is correct or in the right zone. Since I replaced my smoker's control panel and some of the LED no longer work (poor quality parts failed 2 weeks after replacing - that's another story) I needed to get something to be a be able to read to check the temperature. This item fits perfectly into the hole already in the door - just popped out the plug and put it in place. Worked great and it matched the temp shown on the Traeger grill - much easier to read at a glance. Well worth what it cost - durable and accurate.
