If you want to take your snare up to the next level get these snares! I've added them to my Ddrum Dominion birch 13 x 6 1/2, Yamaha Musashi 13x7 oak and my Ludwig Acrolite in Black Galaxy Sparkle.

I have 3 snares and if fattened them all up. Big sound from my 10” to my 14”.

These have been the only wires I've used on any snare drum for over ten years. I absolutely love the increased projection and sensitivity and the thicker gauge wires seem to last longer then any others I've tried. First thing I do when buying a new snare is fit a set of puresound blasters.

It's amazing how a simple snare wire can totally change the sound of a drum. I have a Ludwig Super Classic 13x6 snare and the wires I was using were giving me a pretty harsh and dry sound. This Puresound is fat and kinda dark sounding

Great snares. Can't go wrong with the blasters. However they are still shipping product from 2009. Old packaging, not current on the D'ddario players circle.

I have no doubt that I will be buying more of these wires when i find the next old drum that needs a new lease of life.

Cracking; in more ways that one.

I am using the Puresound Blaster 20 strand on a 12 inch Sonor drum, attached with Nylon string.Drastically improves the snap and clarity of any snare. Also makes your buzz roll sound fantastic.Unfortunately, there is just too much snare buzz. I had my reso side cranked for a show, and every instrument, including my toms, within a 8 foot radius would make the snare rattle like crazy. For a second rock gig, I tuned the drum several steps lower, and adjusted the strands tension. While the strands gave the backbeat a solid snap, it is just too much; you lose that big snare sound, and through a sound system it seems like you have a secondary buzz snap.Undoubtedly good snare wires, but I would suggest getting the 16 strand rather than the 20 strand, so that you can have a least a little bit of control on that insane amount of buzz.One snare wire came a little bent, and I don't believe in the whole "edges bent up to reduce snare wires resting on the rim". Definitely get Puresound, just get a better version of their product lines, especially for a small nuanced 12 inch snare.

Suena demasiado agresivo, BLASTER, no hay dinámica. Funciona mejor pa quien toca más pesado. Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, etc...
