The media could not be loaded. Design is a good idea however the middle bolt with a locking mechanism is now stuck. If you lock it it’ll turn to prevent somebody from stealing it no problem. However if it is unlocked in order to be removed it does not grip the bolts underneath and turns as if it were locked. meaning I cannot return this device because I cannot take it off my spare tire without breaking the mechanism if someone can just please send me a new bolt with the locking part attached I can break off the current one and replace with a new working part. There is no way for me to upload pictures or a video of what’s going on for a refund it just wants me to send it back but I can’t send them back because it’s stuck to my car. Video shows proof

The media could not be loaded. This bike rack is a nice, well-constructed piece of equipment. It is not a Yamaha or Thule— but it is 50%+ cheaper. The instructions were fine. I have no idea why others couldn’t understand them. The components are sturdy. The spinner on the bolt that tightens it works fine; that said, it should be metal and made heavier. This is the main weakness. However, it functions fine. When the spinner is locked, it spin freely— as it should. When it is unlocked, the spinner bites and you can take the rack off or tighten it back on. It is well designed, other than this piece, but it is NOT a deal breaker— especially for the price.

Got a flat tire and found out that I couldn't get to my spare tire because the locking mechanism was rusted shut. Had to pop the lock off and now I don't have a bike rack that I can safely secure back on to my spare. Prior to this the bike rack worked fine. Folding the arm down was a bit of a pain sometimes, but all in all it did what it needed to do. Only had this thing for about a year. Will be looking for a different bike rack.

Ony surprise was that the manufacturer printed the logo upside down, which was a bit confusing initially, but have had no problems since installing it and carrying two bikes regularly.

Great bike rack, the lock is garbage. I put it on yesterday afternoon, drove 4 hrs to take my son to college. Wanted to take the bike rack off the spare tire and the lock will not engage with the stud holding the rack onto the tire. Hasn’t been on for more than 24 hrs and the lock is already broken. If I hadn’t used it, I would send it back. I’m not sure how I’m going to get it off my car now…maybe a cutting torch. Don’t waste your money…I read the reviews before I bought it, so bad on me for thinking it wouldn’t happen to me, but it did.

Bought this about 6 weeks ago and waited to review, so far so good and overall good quality and fits 2 bike comfortable and no issues at all.
