A combination of small details makes this a fantastic case
Update 5/29/2014Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this keyboard/case. As many other people have reported here, after a short period of normal use (less than 2 months), the case cracks in the upper left hand side near in the support brace near the iPad's on/off button. My original cracked, Logitech sent me a replacement. The replacement cracked, Logitech sent me a replacement for the replacement. And now the replacement of the replacement cracked. This is now 3 cases that have cracked in the exact same spot. This has been very frustrating because I really like this case but every time I have to send it in for a replacement, I am without a case.I am not sure what game Logitech is playing. Based on my experience and the exact same issue reported by many other people here, they clearly have a design flaw. But they keep sending replacement cases with the exact same flaw. Let me say it for you Logitech: IF YOU BUY THIS CASE, IT WILL CRACK IN THE UPPER LEFT HAND SIDE NEAR THE IPAD ON/OFF SWITCH WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. IF YOU CONTACT SUPPORT WE WILL SEND YOU ANOTHER ONE WITH THE SAME FLAW SO THAT WILL CRACK JUST LIKE THE FIRST ONE. THIS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL ONE OF US GIVES UP.I have contacted Logitech about my 3rd case cracking just like the others, but they have not responded yet after a couple of days. In the meantime, I have decided to give up and purchased the Belkin QODE. I much prefer the Logitech case, but at least it is functional and is not cracked.--------------Original review:You can tell that Logitech has learned from its multiple generations of keyboard covers/cases because it has designed in little details here and there that reduce the annoyance factor of using a bluetooth keyboard. Here is my list of pros and cons:Pros:- Auto on/off. This is not just a power saving feature. Your iPad snaps into place in typing position and the keyboard is automatically paired and ready to use (after initial setup of course) and it is automatically off when you don't want to use it. No need to search for an on/off switch or wonder why the virtual keyboard is not appearing.- Browsing position. It conveniently folds flat (well almost flat) covering the keyboard.- Quick and easy to insert and remove your iPad.Cons:- The keyboard takes a bit of getting used to. While this is true of any new keyboard, this one has a few surprises. The biggest ones being the fact that the A key and Caps Lock are shared so you have to press fn to do a Caps Lock. The same goes for Q and Tab. However, after thinking about it, it makes sense. How often do you actually use Caps Lock (for me, almost never)? And how often do you use the Tab key on your iPad? The virtual keyboard doesn't even have one. So far I have adapted to the keyboard layout fairly easily.- International keyboards. This issue is true of all bluetooth keyboards and is not specific to this one. One of the disadvantages of having a physical keyboard is the fact that it is a physical keyboard. I continually have to switch between typing in English and Spanish. With a virtual keyboard, this is easy. You set the language and iOS adjusts the autocorrection and the virtual keyboard layout to match. However, iOS also expects the physical bluetooth keyboard to match the layout of that language also, which it doesn't. For Spanish, most of the letters will match, but none of the special characters keys will match (where did the question mark go?). Many times I end up displaying the virtual keyboard (and there is a handy fn key for that) just so I can find a special character I need to type. All of the small details in the pro list allow me to use my iPad as a tablet. To me this is huge. I use my iPad as a tablet 95% of the time and with this case I do not sacrifice being able to use it as a tablet. But a keyboard is instantaneously available for the 5% of the time. As you can tell, I am very satisfied with this cover and highly recommend it.Written using an iPad Air with a Logitech Fabric Skin Keyboard Folio for iPad Air

Plastic retention button rendering keyboard useless for protecting iPad
This is the second Logitech Fabric Skin Keyboard I received. The keyboard itself is quite excellent. I love the touch control and the light weight of the unit. However, two times the housing covering the on/off button broke off leaving me with a jagged edge on the unit that hurt my finger. I decided it would be okay to just use the keyboard without the plastic on/off button, but I couldn't get past the hurt finger, considering this is a very expensive keyboard. Another problem was the ipad slipping because of the tenuous hold of the remaining clips. Amazon is wonderful, as they are sending me a replacement once again. If Logitech fixes the problem, this keyboard would be superb. As it is, it is pretty unusable once the housing cover breaks off. I assume this third keyboard will still have this problem, but I am ordering a replacement instead of a refund because I assume a company as reputable as Logitech would have seen the criticism and fixed the keyboard by now. If not, I will look into another company.

5 stars if you dont mind the weight
I gave this product 5 stars due to it's functionality. I first attempted to use my ipad air without any case. I wanted to get the benefit of it's light weight. It is light but it's slippery and I was always afraid I was going to drop it. I previously had a logitech keyboard that attached to my ipad air with magnets. It was always falling off and I never used the keyboard. The Fabric Skin has one feature that makes it so much better than any covers with magnetic attachments. The air fits into rounded corners and stays there. This feature insures that your ipad will not fall out. The cover also protects the ipad on both sides. If you want to use the keyboard youlift it up with half the holder and place the edge of the ipad above the keyboard. It is held magnetically on an angle and is very easy to set up. The keyboard works fine for light work such as writing a review. This product has doubled the functionality of my air. Yesterday the internet in my office went out and I pulled out the air and was able to work. If your looking for a cover with a keyboard this product is the one to buy. Great Design. Now for the downside which is not the fault of Logitech. I weights .9 lbs. which means with the ipad air I am carrying around 2 lbs. When I read the something on the ipad the weight is fine but walking around with the ipad in the type of brief case I use, I can feel the weight. Another good feature is that the charge for the keyboard lasts 2 months. There is no on or off switch so I assume the keyboard shuts off automatically. The ironic part of this product is that I can see how functional it makes my ipad so I am considering llooking at the microsoft surface. I would like to have word and a usb port.

Disappointed
I ordered this case/keyboard a couple weeks ago. I absolutely love typing on it, but I just noticed yesterday it has a couple hairline cracks in the plastic part that holds the ipad in on the top button side. I have been SO careful with my ipad and I know for sure I have never dropped it. I am assuming these cracks have always been there, since I haven't done anything to create them. I wouldn't have noticed them right away because I was so excited to start using it, I didn't even check it over. I am so worried these hairline cracks will get worse and not hold the ipad in place, rendering my $100 case (plus shipping to Canada!!) useless.Great design and works perfectly, but disappointing to be breaking after a couple weeks of use (or maybe shipped cracked).Edit (July 18, 2014): I just got around to contacting Logitech about my broken case. They were easy to deal with, and once I sent the case back, they shipped me out a new one (not a big deal for me to wait since I hadn't been using it for 5 months. Might pose an issue for some though). I noticed when I opened the new one they changed the top clip a little. Instead of having plastic over the button, it is simply open there with hard plastic on either side of the button. The iPad feels very secure, but in time I will see if the new style is more durable. I sure hope so!
