Great hood and great customer service.
My hood has 4 speeds, 2 halogen lights and perhaps 760 cfm. The product descriptions on Amazon and ZLine Kitchen were contradictory so I emailed ZLine who responded promptly and pointed me to therangehoodstore.com which said 4 speeds, 4 lights (yes 4) and 760 cfm. Our installation is over an electric range and ducted. We have an 8-foot ceiling and at the shortest chimney length the hood is at the recommended minimum of 28" above the stovetop. Speeds 2 and 3 readily take care of the steam and smell from sautéing onions and peppers. The 2 lights can be aimed from side to side for more focused lighting, and when aimed straight down provide good lighting for the entire stove top. The noise level is appropriate for the job and not obnoxious. Controls are on both the front and back sides which was a pleasant surprise. The only design improvement I suggest is to have the groove in the lower part of the chimney fit flush inside the groove in the upper part. It doesn't fit quite flush which causes a very slight bowing where the two parts meet but is barely noticeable. The shipping weight is 40 lbs but my contractor wasn't comfortable mounting only to the ceiling so he reinforced the mounting with 2x4's in the attic since we had the option. He also said it was easy to install. I ordered from Amazon late Saturday night, it arrived Wednesday morning but had a scuff on the underside. I called ZLine at the number posted on Amazon. They shipped a replacement that same day and told me to repackage the first hood for FedEx who picked it up the next day. The replacement arrived on Friday with no issues and all shipping was at no cost to me. Customer service was friendly. Oh, and the hood looks great too!

Difficulty in installing. A lot.
Horrible. Although very pretty, it was backbreaking work installing it. We bought it as private owners and installed it ourselves, but the manual was NOT clear at all. We are still on our third attempt at installing it, and the first two both failed because of the coverings that were supposed to be set on the outside. On the manual, for example, the coverings were split in two and were to be put on last. It wasn't. So by the time everything was finished and we were about to put on the coverings, we realized that we're supposed to set it on before connecting it to the ceiling. The second time we learned our lesson and put on the coverings first. Everything went on nicely until we were about to separate the two layers of covering. Because they were covered in a layer of sticky plastic as to prevent scratching, we had trouble peeling them off. When we lifted the inner layer out, the plastic rolled and got stuck. We had to take it all of for the third time and break the inner one to fix the problem. It would have been very useful to put those two little tips on the manual.

Gets a lot of compliments
Bought this for our kitchen remodel. I get compliments on it all the time. Works well, the fan is a little noisy but it may have to do with the installation. We also bought the extension as we have vaulted ceilings.
