API ACCU-CLEAR Freshwater Aquarium Water Clarifier 8-Ounce Bottle

Can't believe how fast this worked! Setup a new 75g tank. Did not rinse off the substrate first. After filling up, tank was clearly misty and cloudy. Tank has been running for 4 days with an FX2 filter running and no change in water clarity. Received Accu-Clear. I added 2 capfull and also another cheap internal filter stuffed full of filter floss. I walked by an hour and a half later and had to do a double take. Practically crystal clear minus the tiny bit of tannin starting to release from the wood. Wow amazing! To those finding gel like clumps on their substrate. That's just how A-C works. If you have enough flow, it'll push that towards your filter to get sucked up or you could just siphon it out manually.

I’ve been working on cycling a new tank for the past six weeks. After two weeks I noticed that the water had gotten very cloudy. At first, I’d hoped it was part of the cycling process but three weeks later the water is still cloudy, and the cycling process seems to have stalled out. I ordered this product but, unfortunately, there was a shipping issue and since I was eager to get this problem solved I went online and ordered a similar product. Yesterday I tried that product and after 24 hours, the water was still cloudy. Yesterday the Accu Clear I’d originally ordered arrived and since the first product hadn’t worked, I figured I was just going to return it. But this morning, I decided to give it a shot and put in the appropriate dosage. In less than an hour, my water is crystal clear. I will definitely be returning the other product and keeping the Accu Clear for future uses.

It clears the tank water quickly.

It doesn't matter if it will work or not; what matters is warning label on a container. It says that it can cause skin irritation, chlorthydrol, alum, chlor. Fishes and turtles will swim in this with their eyes open, and drink this water. It may work, it may not, but I will not take a risk. It seems dangers for health to me that it is dangerous for any living thing.

The first 2 days after putting it in our 35 hex, it was cloudy as heck. But then we woke up to the clearest tank ever. I changed the filter, which was new when we put in the clarifier, and it was filthy! I guess it did a great job!
