Mastering Skills for the TOEFL iBT, 2nd Edition Advanced Combined MP3 Audio CD Audio CD – November 1, 2009

I bought that book to prepare for my TOEFL test. I took some intensive english classes in the USA, and we used some books from Compass Edition that I enjoyed... I thought it would be a good idea to buy a TOEFL preparation book from Compass to improve my skills for the test.This book DOESN'T explain or show you how to proceed to find the right answer. You have the questions and the answer keys at the end (Doesn't explain why that answer is true and the others are false).The CD that's included is an audio CD. There is no software that comes along or even can be downloadable from the Compass website so you can take a practice test on your computer.Another weak point is the independent writing (INCOMPLETE!!) It focuses only on the integrated one. I've liked the method for that one though... Very easy and helpful to write the integrated essay.Finally, this book is helpful for people who want to practice a lot (contains bunch of paragraphs and audio tracks).

It's the best book if you want to score 100+ . Highly recommend it. Every chapter is very well detail. So much practice. Much much better than any other books or online tutors

I liked this book because you can study with multiples exercises and also you learn more about the TOEFL

The best book ever to be prepared for the TOEFL test! I had 89 at the test just using this book!

I still haven't gone through the book fully, but it seems to give a good practice for the speaking part of the TOEFL exam. The book reached me in a fantastic condition. I am an internationl customer and it reached me as if it didn't go through any delivery process- it was as fresh as a freshly baked cake :D

Each articles are focused on different topics, so I could learn various vocabulary, also I still use this book as a good essay references.

It is the right book but pretty old one.

But it is easier then baron and kaplan but it will improve your listening skills with different subjects and many samples

この問題集、TOEFLを高得点目指す受験者には非常に役に立つ一冊です。また、リスニング力を高めたい人にも強くお勧めしたいです。値段は問題集にしては少し高いものの、内容量がとてつもなく多く、これ一冊やるだけでリスニング力はかなり伸びると思います。(私はTOEFLリスニングが15点から24点に伸びました)5分程のリスニング問題が、テスト形式のものも含め100問近くあり、その内容もTOEFLリスニングで使われる日常会話から天文学、地質学、経済学など多岐にわたっています。リスニング力を高めるに留まらず、自分たちの知識を深めてくれる良い題材たちばかりです。よって難易度は高めで、始めはかなり戸惑うかもしれません。しかし、あと一歩リスニング力が伸び切らない人がリスニングが得意になるきっかけを作る一冊であると、私は一通りやってみて感じました。私は今でも電車で聞いています。

TOEFL対策用の教材として4セクションすべてが使える。リーディングとリスニングは模試だけではなくスキル演習でも本試験同様の長文を読んだり聞いたりできる。リーディングもMP3CDで音声が聞けるのでリスニングの勉強もできる。大量の文章を読んだり聞いたりするのでリーディングとリスニング、語彙の力を総合的に伸ばすことができる。スピーキングとライティングは、日米の教材が公式問題集とは大幅に異なった問題で使い物にならないのが多いのに対し、本書ではリアルな問題で練習できる。星1つ減らしたのはリーディングとリスニングの解答に解説がついていないこと。なぜ解答が正解で誤答が間違いなのかがわからない。しかし、それを差し引いても非常に使える教材であると言えよう。

Each reading material is divided into each page, so it is very easy to study and see the progress.For further improvement, it would be greater if there are more detailed explanation for the answers.

PCに移して聞いたら意外とスピードが遅かったけど、iBTの講義が８０個もついてるならいいのかなぁと思って半分くらい聞きましたがめちゃくちゃいいこういう教材にありがちな棒読みじゃない！！！　すばらしい！！これは絶対伸びる！！

出題傾向の苦手部分を分析するのにいいですよ。その後にミニテストもあって力がついたか確認できます。おススメです。
