Perfect solution to a stinky shower drain! We always had to put a cover over the shower drain when it was not being used (must not have trap under the cement floor!) This only took a minute to install and works perfectly. It allows the water to drain easily (even at full flow) and prevents sewer gas from coming up through the drain. Highly recommended!

I'm a professional plumber and I'm currently renting a real nice place all except for one thing the landlord used someone who didn't know what they were doing when they remodeled and they didn't install a p-trap in the shower, if you know anything about plumbing you'll know this keeps out the sewer gas from coming into your home. I knew he was to cheap to jackhammer out the newly remodeled shower so I found this little gadget and for all intensive purposes it does a fantastic job. Does clog with hair frequently but small price to pay .

I did measure my drain twice but I still screwed up on the drain size. So I had to send it back it was too small for the drain I was trying to put it in. I did not reorder yet, but I probably will if the problem still continues.

I’d imagine after time these will accumulate drain sludge hair and other items and may need to be cleaned. But the cost is so reasonable just buy a few to swap out. This worked very well for my use. I rebuild RV’s and converted a toilet drain to a shower drain. This was the perfect fix for a vapor barrier from the shower to the grey water holding tank. Amazing idea great product .
