Is the “mirror” one an actual glass mirror?

Yes it is, just the glue that it comes with the mirror doesn't work very well

Is there a video on how to use the upgraded hardware for mounting? There is no instruction on what those pieces are for

No there is not and the screws for mounting the hanging hooks are longer than the thickness of the mirrors so don’t screw in too far or you’ll crack your mirror like I did.
