Hunters Specialties Butt Out II - Lightweight Durable Compact Portable Field Dressing Tool for Big Game

I figured this was just some gimmic kind of thing but was pleasantly surprised at the results. I used it on 2 whitetail deer this year and it worked as advertised. Cold, snow on the ground, losing daylight, you're dressing a deer and thinking about the 1/4 mile drag home...this lightweight tool is going to save you time starting the drag back by making a 5 to 7 minute task a 10 second one. Very easy to use and straight forward directions.

I have the shapest knife in the world, or at least those of us that pride ourselves to carry a sharp blade think so.. will not believe how effective this tool is. it IS A TOOL guys and gals. Everyone hates dealing with the hip busting, knifing through the area of the underworld to create a cleanely dressed out deer... This tool will elminate the knifing around or splitting the hip bone or making a nightmare out of the biggest part of the steak area!.How about this - I have a great friend who has his own hunting video web stie for amature hunters filming thier own hunts. This guy is a professional in my opinion and is among the only hunters I know of who just slay deer and big ones all the time. TOP NOTCH. He has been hunting for 35 years. Just last year someone told him to use it and gave it to him. He took a doe 2 weeks ago in MI and forgot he had it in his bag and found it digging for his knife - so he said - "Why not"... He used it. While I finally bought mine just now I had been using my buddys while we hunt a lot together all the time since this came out. I just asked this pro hunting friend if he uses the Butt Out - he turns to me and explains that he used it for the first time and was when he was done could not beleive how effective, clean, easy and all that it was. He simply told me it was just incredibly cool and easy to use.Long thread about a assss out tool - lol BUT - another one of these products that you HAVE to have if you plan to dress any deer or pig etc...it is literally like needing a gun strap if you own a gun or carry case for your bow. For years, I had no issues doing without. Tried it this year and it works, and it works well. Simple to use. Very lightweight so no issues carrying in pack. Fairly strong and plenty to grip on to (unlike earlier version without the butt stop). It’s earned a place in my pack.

Works as intended I wish I thought of it.

Have used these on about the last half dozen Tennessee white tails, and Arizona mule and couses deer I've taken. Even tried it on my one and only Javelina. It works. However, it bent on the last Mule deer. Probably the bigger deer didn't help. Makes me think this won't work on an Elk either. So, they're still cheap enough to just replenish every other year, I still recommend.

Most deer i break down and pack out but, any deer that comes out whole i use this. Ive been using these but out tools for many years and they are great. Incredibly easy to use. I always will keep one in my kit!
