When Ava is sent back to her people she is dubbed a traitor and sent to the mines. She labor’s all day with little food and no comforts. She’s determined that she will live and exact her revenge on Galin the one who banished her people to live underground. She was told that a letter was sent telling of her treacherous actions and she knew it was from him. She still thinks of her lich as her once was but now he’s golden his eyes his hair is like spun gold but she has to harden her heart Galin has no choice but to do the binding of his father the crown put on his head has sealed his fate but not his determination to get back Ali and have her in his arms. Galin is dangerous and his family knows this but he’s spell bound not to kill them if he tries his head nearly splits open from the pain he knows Ali has no idea that he’s a different man since meeting her with his brutal past of being the most deadly warrior has dimmed but he will use it at every opportunity. He still is a very powerful sorcerer and he’s working tirelessly for a spell to break the binding of his crown. Galin is a sexy and smooth with a fierce mind and will stop at nothing to get Ali back. The two collide with the winnowing and the fighting will definitely decide who the winners and losers are when failure is not an option! Review: Fast paced read, enjoyable from start to finish! - I was excited when I remembered the significance of today’s date- finally, release day! I thought this was a fun read. Believe me when I tell you that the whole book feels like you’re in a car going 80mph- you won’t ever feel like it’s dragging. To some people that may be a bad thing, and admittedly I thought it would have benefit from another 100 or so pages, but I would rather read a good short book than a so-so long book. There were rarely transitions, and it felt kind of rushed at times. Ali and Galin were interesting characters- I didn’t necessarily feel that super intense bond between them, but I assume it’ll ramp up in the next book. (Although I did read her Sea Fae series and noticed the mates in it also suffered from lack of chemistry). The thing that stuck out to me was that I didn’t care all that much about their romance. Like, in a good way. The author made a cool enough world and storyline where I was invested in the fate of the elves instead of the fate of a couple’s sexual tension. It’s really rare to find a story about mates where the will-they-won’t-they isn’t 90% of the story. Because the book was so short, some of the side characters suffered. I didn’t necessarily care too much about some of the deaths and such because I had a hard time remembering who is who. I am LOVING the direction that Ali is going. Very cool. I’ll let you know- there is another cliffhanger ending, and I am not a fan of those. One thing that I loved at first but started to annoy me: the pop culture references. I cackled when she mentioned Rick Roll in the first book, but the next 8 or so jokes about cheesy songs being masterpieces, I was like “okay haha yes we get it now oh that joke again” I kind of expect a scene in book 3 where Ali meets some kind of fox shifter elf and sings “What Does the Fox Say” Dearest author, please make the next book just a weeeeeeeees bit longer so I can savor it a bit more!

What A Twist! ;)
I loved this return to Ali and Galin's story. This second book was a little less gritty and circumstances seemed a little less dire, but the action and plot were still amazing!! I am still enthralled by the post-Ragnarok premise set in the future of our real world, there's not enough great Norse mythology based books out! I absolutely adore the little current pop culture references, they make it feel a bit more real, which is always awesome. The Winnowing was a really cool concept as well, there were definitely several moments I held my breath while reading the challenges Ali and Galin faced during it. That ending though!! Totally didn't see it coming and I can't wait to see how it plays into the next book! Please write quickly!

Another amazing book!
I really enjoyed this book and if I could give it more stars I would. The world building was wonderful with vivid descriptions and I felt like I was there in the story. The characters were well developed and interesting. I love Ali and Galin together. They make a great couple and I was happy they finally admitted their fee!ings for each other. I was sad when I finished it and can't wait to read the next book in this series.

One of the best series I've read in a long time.
Ali and Galin are star crossed lovers whose destinies were fated. The constant movement of this story keeps you turning pages. There are villains in their families and betrayal at the core of this story . This author has a flair for telling a story so compelling you ache to finish it, but like me, you'll have to wait for the last edition to this trilogy! All I can say is read it. I know you will love it!

Ruined King (Night Elves 2)
I enjoyed reading this book and I like the story concept, along with the characters. My biggest complaint is MC gets hurt, and then she struggles, but then its like she isn't hurt in certain parts, but then she is hurt again. That actually drove me nuts throughout part of this book. Overall, I enjoyed the book very much and I liked the characters.

I liked Ruined King even more than cursed prince! There were so many twists and turns, it was an emotional roller coaster. I loved the winnowing, it was epic and so exciting to read. I couldnt put this book down and read it in one day. Ali and Galins relationship is the kind of slow burn romance that I live for. I cant wait for the next book, but I wish it wasnt the last!

It’s so good to see the characters building something together not jus in a love way but also working together to build a better future for their people. And better yet destroying who deserves it. Can’t wait to ready the last one on this trilogy(I guess it’s a trilogy) let’s finish it.
