IF BATMAN wore a vest instead of a Utility Belt!!
I've had this vest for over a year, I bought it after doing a lot of research and waiting for awhile before I spent the money... I purchased this vest to conceal firearm(s) at my job or when i'm out and about... I conceal 3 firearms as well i can stow all my chargers W/ cords , power bank, phone, ray bans, note pad, pepper spray, head phones, keys, etc.It carries the weight from all this stuff very well with all the pockets and space u can fit anything inside of it unnoticeable to the naked eye, I can even wear my duty holster and duty belt without anyone paying attention to it ( the vest makes me look fat!! Although I dont carry all this stuff at once or I put it up when i get to work... I carry two 380.'s one in each side pocket no one can see them!!The material is top-notch for repelling moisture and light enough to wear year round (cause i do) it also dries real quick 4(even when drenched) that also is a problem although i've had the vest for over a year the side pockets are getting some wear and tear at this writing. Its my security blanket, when u layer it with other tops or thermals its all u need for cold weather (in my opinion) the only CON of this vest is that most of the zippers broke within the first couple months or so of me having it but thats asmall issue cause i wear it open anyways. (I see that they've improved on the zippers since my purchase) If your looking for a top-notch vest for year round wear and to conceal anything I'd go with this one... It's worth the money for me to buy another which I will soon!!

Great for travelingouught
Bought to use on flights. So much storage room. Purchased larger than needed so there would be room for everything but the kitchen sink (haha). Wonderful product.

Good but not perfect
A good vest for carrying quite a bit while flying. I can carry several phones, backup battery charger, various cords, travel documents, critical (don't lose) items, a puffy vest, inflatable neck brace, an ipad, sun glasses, and a few more items, everything I need while seated in an airplane. Functionally, it is designed well with my only complaint being that the pull tabs / zippers are too small for the two front/outside pockets. Those zippers are hard to pull and require two hands, so a hassle when carrying luggage or holding other items and need to open the pocket to get a passport or boarding pass, this is a point that grates on me. I'm thinking of taking it to a tailor to have larger zippers installed. I'm feel a bit dorky walking around with it stuffed, but nothing that doesn't stand out in our overweight society. It is easy to wash and hang dry. Doesn't restrict movement. Sometimes this vest makes the difference between needing to check a bag or not (due to fitting everything else into the carry on bag). Great for carrying those small/heavy items removed from overweight checked luggage.

Good Vest
I was looking for a second puffy vest since I relegated my older vest to my truck. I sort of geeked out over the specs researching which vest to get. I landed on the ScotteVest after the reviews and look. While not a puffy vest, the vest does keep me warm. The crazy number of compartments is kind of cool - something I wasn't specifically looking for when I bought it. I would buy again if lost.

Never thought I'd write a negative review about ScottEVest
To preface: I own 5 garments from them and I love them all. That said...The pocket layout on this vest is strange and ineffective.Gone are the large-cell-phone sized outside chest pockets, replaced by HUGE zippered pockets for "rapid access panel", whatever that is. The inside is open from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the vest. However there are no pockets inside until about the level of my lowest rib. This leaves ZERO storage space at chest level inside that pocket. There is one pocket that will comfortably fit a Galaxy Note 10 in Otterbox Defender and two smaller pockets attached to that pocket. I can comfortably fit my Springfield XDs pistol but both the phone and the gun sit very low; almost belt level. There are velcro straps along the top of that inside pocket for... I have no idea. Whatever you attach to that will flop around with the outside of that inner pocket.Yes, there is the ubiqutious clear panel cell phone holder inside at chest level. However, there is only one now and it is not big enough to comfortably take Galaxy Note 10 in and out and is too small to see and or operate the entire screen. Might work for Apple or smaller android but worthless for me. Due to the plastic, nothing will easily go in and out of there so I'd have to keep infrequently used things in there; folding knife perhaps? The right inside chest pocket is much too small for a the Note 10. Not sure what it would be used for. That said, the inside glasses pocket does comfortably fit the Note 10 and I can put it in and take it out with one hand.Certainly there are plenty of other pockets in which to carry shades or reading glasses.I think that's my only beef and only because I use those chest pockets for cell phones a thousand times a day.Otherwise I love the fabric. The zippers seem solid. Always love the magnetic pocket closures. All other pockets seem usable and nicely sized; not too big, not too small.RFID pocket velcro is WAY too hard to get open. Yes, I understand it is intended to keep valuables safe but a pickpocket would have to have the jaws of life to get in there. It is a bit heavier, thicker and is lined as opposed to other offerings. This would NOT be a warm weather vest unless you love to sweat. With the huge back pocket and hood it seems like it could be a good day hike in the mountains type vest.On that note, the rolled up hood seems to add additional padding around my neck.If I load my other vest down too much the patented weight distribution system throws a lot of weight on my neck and hurts after awhile, so that's a plus.Bottom line: they missed it by THAT much!Put some usable chest pockets inside the zippered outside pockets and it's a keeper.Sadly, I'm on the fence.G'day!

I highly recommend this ScotteVest to everyone who loves pockets!
I absolutely love the ScotteVest projects. This vest is my 7 purchase of the ScotteVest brand! I love this vest brand because it has 42 different pockets in the vest. The vest has room for all of my electronics devices, pockets for my paperwork, and this particular vest has a hidden hoodie in a zipped pocket. The weight distribution is excellent as I don’t feel lopsided when I wear it. The warmth is excellent because it keeps my core warm while letting my arms breathe. The zipper quality is great because the zippers on ScotteVest products never jam or break. I love the style of of having more than 40 pockets in one jacket.
