great value. love this for my sfo commute. some really really excellent tracks on here and some filler but overall i really enjoy this cd. definitely only about half the tracks are what i would consider old school 70's funk, but nonetheless it is worth having.

but a great collection of r&b
Not all tracks are funk, strictly speaking, but a great collection of r&b, urban contemporary, soul, and funk tunes. Cost per song is extremely low. A great value.

Not really funky but still enjoyable.
Its a bit of a misnomer to call this compilation 100 hits funk as there aren't many tracks that I would describe as funk music on it. However, it is still an enjoyable collection of tracks which include r&b/soul music from Aretha Franklyn, Bill Withers, Earth,Wind &Fire and many more. The closest to any type of funk track is Chocolate Milk- Action speaks louder than words, People Choice- Do it any way you wanna and the jazz funk track by Tom Browne- Funkin' for Jamaica. For those old enough to remember when these tracks were first released as singles or as album tracks, they should hopefully like me, bring back pleasant memories.

A handful of Funk tracks. Disappointing.
I'm not sure how they justify calling this 100 Hits - Funk. Don't get me wrong, there are some great tracks on this 5 CD compilation but mainly Soul, Disco or just plain Pop. There are very few tracks that I would actually call Funk.Fortunately you can check the track listing but my wife bought me this as a present as she knows I love Funk. I love a lot of the tracks anyway but it would be very disappointing if you're a dedicated Funkster. If you're after a decent Funk selection then keep looking.

Awesome FUNK compilation.
Superb selection at a great price. The "funk" bit is a little exaggerated in my opinion. Certainly quite a number of tracks are pure "soul" rather than funk. But who's complaining at this price and wonderful variety of track listing. Received perfectly packaged, right on time and in mint condition. Possibly the best value funk compilation out there at the moment. Completely satisfied with yet another Amazon purchase.

Lots of good tracks on this one and great in the car.
Great value as are all these 100 hits compilations. As a Mobile DJ still using good old fashioned CD's in the main these give me a lot of tracks in a smaller space. Not all classic tracks of course but covers a lot of possible requests. Lots of good tracks on this one and great in the car.
