Very Good Humanely Harvested Natural Bristle Hairbrush
Very happy with this brush. It really is gentle on my very fine hair. Distributes thenatural oils from scalp to ends very easily, once the pre-brushing removal of tanglesis done, as I was taught by my maternal forebears. Gentle too on my sensitive scalp.Well made this brush will last many years. After finding out a dear friend of mine who is growing out his hair was not aware ofthese simple things, I think I shall share them here for anyone who may benefit fromthese simple ways of caring for your hair so it is in its best condition and looks lustrous.Use a good gentle natural ingredient shampoo and conditioner which are made to be used together - as a shampoo will be of a certain pH and the conditioner which is made to go with it will adjust the shampooed hairs pH back to what it should be to go about your day with healthy, shiny hair.I love the Organix brand - now called OGX - which is sold everywhere (even in the huge super centers which begin with the letter "W") and has as its base the Moroccan Argan Oils - which condition hair to a lovely degree just in the act of shampooing and conditioning on a normal day. And truly over time will make your hair gorgeous.Their Sun Kissed Blond Lemon Highlights is one for ultra-blonds has instead of argan oil, lemon fruit oil, and coconut oils - as argan can cause staining upon really light blond hair. So, they are looking out for us with pale colored hair.Simple hair care technique:Shampooing:Wet hair, then apply shampoo to your hands (applying to hair on head appears to cause hair loss over time) and gently move your fingers under your locks all over your head from under the hair gently massaging your scalp. Rinse. Apply again from your fingers and this time to length of your hair while leaving it long, work it gently into the length of hair. Do not just mash the length of hair up into the scalp area. Work with it leaving it in its length, hanging down. Treat it like a special lustrous fabric which you wish to care for and preserve so it will be in good condition many years from now.Do the same thing by applying the conditioner which matches your shampoo - by applying from your hands and fingertips to the length of your hair, only moving briefly,if your scalp is dry - or not at all, if your scalp is oily - on the scalp area itself.Always allow hair to dry without brushing till it is dry. As hair can be easily stretchedwhen wet which damages the hairs. If really necessary, then better to use a very widetoothed comb and while hair has conditioner on it after the shampooing - gently use the comb from ends firstcombing out the tangles from ends up little by little - one section at a time - from endsto scalp. (So you are not mashing tangles together and ripping out your hair which iswhat happens when combed or brushed from scalp down to ends, when hairs have tangles in them.)Pre-brushing:you can also do this without a brush using your fingersbegin by taking a small section of your hair and begin removing the tanglesfrom the ends first, gently then working your way up the section of hair bit by bit, brushing out the tangles from the bottom up until you have reached the scalp. Thenmove to the next section of your hair until all of your hairs' tangles are gone.In this way, the hair is cared for and does not endure stress, ripping or damaging of the hair. Frizz and split-ends are avoided. The hair will just be shiny and lustrous. This is especially important for long hair, or if you are growing your hair out to be longand beautiful. Less important for short hair, as it will soon be cut off again, and the abuse will not show so very long.Once the tangles are out, brush again from top now to bottom to distribute your naturaloils from scalp to ends.Brushing your hair in the evening before bed is a really nice ritual which will nourish yourhair with the protective oils your scalp provides. If you have really dry hair, try adding afew drops of an oil treatment to your hair by spreading it among your fingertips and moving fingers thru your hair from ends - bottom first - then go up towards your scalp.Getting the majority of the oils on the ends and mid-hairs - those furthest from your scalp.Moroccan Argan oil is superb. Unless you are light blond, white, or pale haired. Then better to use one containing coconut oil, or, one made specifically for blonds. Then for the women who like to have curls, I recommend one of the steam roller setsthey sell here on Amazon, as they do really work well and again keep our hair in goodcondition. There are good new materials being used in blow dryers and hot-irons thesedays that are much less damaging to hair.Of course, everyone finds good ways to work with their own hair and favorite ways of styling. This is just some general guidelines to make growing out your hair in better condition, easier.

No complaints, great "starter" brush for those looking to try out boar bristles....
My first boar bristle brush. I like it,I've purchased a larger one due to my long thick hair. Let my hubby use it as he started growing out his beard and needed something to use with beard oil. He liked it and has sense purchased a boar bristle beard brush.

Handle uncomfortable
It is a good brush. The boar bristles are strong and feel good on the scalp. However, the finishing of the handle is poor. It has a sharp edge and uncomfortable to hold.

Very pleased with my purchase.
Great brush. Very happy I purchased it. The size is perfect. The boar bristles help to get your hairs natural oils down the the length of the hair. The brush itself is very light weight and is not uncomfortable to use the way some brushes can be. I would repurchase this if I ever need to, and I am thinking about getting the smaller size for my purse.

OK, for your doll
More like a doll brush. Very small. Plastic handle. Good bristles, though.

Four Stars
If the handle were in a more sustainable material, I would give it five stars.

Ouch!!
Very small. The edges where the brush is molded together are very sharp. The plastic was cheap which made the brush look awful. I returned immediately.
