This filter is not like a vitamin shower filter to remove chlorine with added perfume from South Korea . It doesn’t add anything much but it’s very cost efficient. For my usual cost of one month, this filter can work 4-6months .the Longevity is not yet tested by myself, but I can see my hair health dramatically improved within just two days use ! I started suffering from hair losses these days and I knew that it might be the water quality deterioration . I had bought 2 other similar products but no effects . My bouncy beautiful shiny hairs got gradually thinner and thinner and harder and eventually cut by themselves to shock me . My floor had blond hairs around my mirror as if I have a big dog at home .I was desperate to stop loosing more hairs and ordered this filter. Now sorted ! My hairs are visibly recovering. This filter seemed to have managed to eliminate chlorine or any harmful chemicals in water . I saw my water spitting dark water and swans in the river got dark feathers . It has been endless efforts to buy new filters and the high quality and honest products are rare . It takes time to import and I could not wait anymore. I had wasted so much money with not South Korea products . This came straight without waiting time by prime and the installation took literally 1 -2 minute. It doesn’t beautify my skin like vitamin showers but delightful for hairs without worrying about my wallet. If you notice any hair damages , worth trying this . I am so happy to have tried this finally and relieved to be out of worries for 6 months !

if you don't have this installed in your shower then you are missing out on clean skin and good hair. this softener is very easy to install. it is 1/2 inch at both ends. and it cleans water going in to your shower. I have hansgrohe rainfinity shower handle and this filter hasn't let any calcium depoisit or any other gunk get stuck in the shower head. moreover it helps soften water which is good for your skin and hair. removes chlorine. the unit is cheap as dirt and buying another as backup £20 whole set is a no brainer. works for 8 to12 months before needing replacing. when new you need to remove 2 plugs inside the filter . and to get to those plugs is a struggle for strong palms and fingers. better do it outside the shower . good colour blends in any bathroom. yes boiling hot water doesn't do it any damage. I run boiling hot water for a good 3 to 5 minutes to clean the shower after bathing and haven't observed anything negative.

I bought the product because I live in a complex water area. The product did an outstanding job, reducing lime scale in the bathroom as well as improving my hair after showering and reducing dry skin. However, it wasn't a perfect fit for my shower, resulting in some water dripping over the outer case and causing corrosion, which prevented it from being removed. The quality of the product itself is excellent, and the filter works perfectly. Unfortunately, I think the water in my area is way too hard for the filter's outer case

I PURCHASED THE FILTER WITH MY OWN MONEY AND HAVE NO AFFILIATION TO THIS OR ANY OTHER AMAZON SELLERS. Do not buy if you actually have skin condition or dry hair and live in London or anywhere where water is treated with chloramine - it will not filter any chlorine from your water. I USED THIS FILTER FOR WEEKS BEFORE WRITING THIS REVIEW. When using this filter, I still continued to have the burning sting I receive from chlorinated water on the area of my skin with my eczema flareup. I then purchased two separate water quality tests to check chlorine level, PH and water hardness. I also tested normal water straight from the tap in my house and distilled water (as a control). Now although I used 2 separate tests, I conducted each test 3 times. The straight from tap water and ‘filtered’ water produced the same result for chlorine and hardness, the only difference was PH. The distilled water had different results, showing me that the test actually worked (but the filter didn’t). The filter uses ‘KDF’ but it does not mention which KDF media it uses. I suspect it is KDF 55 as KDF 55 can only filter water where only chlorine is used but not where ammonia is added to the chlorine to treat water (to make the treatment last longer), as is the case in London and many cities in UK (and around the world). That is why many other filters you can purchase that use KDF 55 also include vitamin C, carbon or other similar layers (to provide greater filtration). Some even use KDF 85, which also filters chlorine compounds like chloramine. I emailed the support email to ask what other filters they had - they refused to answer. I then asked on Amazon for anyone who had used the product for at least a month to confirm whether it worked - the seller removed my question! It does look okay and I where it’s placed on a mixer. Negative points: 1. Does not filter much of the water we use in homes in cities. 2. Difficult to remove (I had to replace it with one from another company that actually works). 3. Difficult to change filters - I tried to open it once it took it out and found it too difficult. 4. Getting information about it was difficult as my question was fraudulently removed and no one answered my emails. Good things: 1. Easy installed 2. Easy to purchase filter replacements There are filters out there that I have found to work for my water supply - improve the softness and quality of the water. My skin and hair can attest to that.

Instructions: clear & easy. Installation: easy (didn’t need any tools). Before and after: shower water smells better, less “hard” (in CB4 area). Highly recommend this to fellow Amazon-ers.

Easy to fit,looks nice-its PLASTIC with Stainless Steel finish!! First time opening was dificult-requied more power (I was afraid 8t may fail-probly coating finish on plastic case it),next ones was easy. I have checked quality of water using TDS-3 and results are weird: Cold,hot and mixed seems higher with filter than without it!?(More particals =worse quality of water) Not sure whats going on- I tried to contact customer support before this review. Unfortunately no way to contact them on Amazon. There is couple resolutions for different scenarios-which is good and I used it to make sure all was done correctly but no improvement. Maybe after couple day will be better. Water seems better for skin and in general but tester shows otherwise. Obviously tester do not test all things adviced by filter manufacturer -but still I would expect this reading drop not increase.

Great item with a robust fee. Easy to fit, and actually looks unobtrusive next to the chrome shower unit as it fits in so well. My skin definitely feels better, less dry. When I shower in hotels now I can really feel the difference on my skin. Quality product and if I only have to replace the filter every 12 months - its also low maintenance.
