Good money spent!
Cannot say enough good stuff about this. Use it in both my 2LT Stingray and my 3LZ Z06/Z07. Great product. Performs as advertised. Both cars benefit from staying out of V4 mode.

Amazingly, it seems to work! It's been 30 days since AFM installed.
Spent more. But I went with reliability and quality. I didn't feel like buying a new one every couple years. The Range AFM is plugged in. Range is sold by Holley (carb). I trust that. And seems to work as it should. It's been a month since installed. My 2017 Silverado stays in V8 mode, seems to shift less and I don't remove it "ever". Some people claim a power draw if you don't remove it daily if you don't drive vehicle for a few days. But research said the draw was so slight it would take years to drain a battery. . Also, my gas mileage stayed about the same. On a recent short trip 60mi each way, 21-23mpg with a 5.3L engine at 60mph. Depends if the wind is at your back or not. So far so good. Would buy again. I love my truck!

Peace of mind, better mpg, and smoother driving!
No more AFM crap! This completely takes care of the awkward transmission shifts, clunks in the driveshaft when AFM activates, and gives some peace of mind that the cam phasers arenโt going to malfunction in 4 cylinder mode. And this is a lot cheaper than a full camshaft replacement and AFM delete! Iโm also getting about 2 more mpg.

Good Quality and it Works!
So easy to install. I found that my 09 Chevy Silverado pickup with the 5.3 motor runs more smoothly with this afm disabler. No hesitation and just runs like a V-8 should. I had heard that you might get 1or 2 miles to the gallon lower but I checked my mpg and I don't think it changed from after installing this afm disabler. Well worth the money and I haven't had a bit of problems with it. Just drive right and change your oil and your motor should last a long time. Buy this one and not the cheap ones to save you money. The old saying is you get what you pay for!

Itโs a simply plug and play device and, so far, is doing what itโs supposed to do.
I just received Range Technology AFM/DFM disabler and have only driven a couple of times. So far itโs doing what itโs supposed to do but, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I havenโt used it long enough to see what problems might come up. I will update sometime down the road. I did a lot of research before ordering this and Range Technology had the biggest pluses. I do know that I donโt get that little hesitation when the truck shifts back and forth between 4 and 8 cylinders which was a lot as I live in the rolling plains of south central Texas. I got this unit because of problems Iโm seeing all over the internet about AFM systems and the problems that occur after 100,000 miles. I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L V8 that Iโve, last year, already had to replace the transmission and Iโve kept up with regular maintenance. My truckโs engine is still running well at 97,000+ mileage and I wanted to head off any problems before they happen. The only problem Iโm having with this is that it plugs into the OBD-II port that my AMP Research power running boards plug into so itโs a constant switch back and forth between devices and as noted on the unit box. So, with that being said, Iโve just placed an order for AMP Research OBD-II splitter so I can leave my power running boards plugged in. Also, it will deplete your vehicleโs battery if left plugged in if you donโt drive you vehicle for long periods. Lately, I only drive once or twice a week and have had to unplug my running boards also because of battery depletion.

Let it do it's thing
Just remember to unplug it if your vehicle sets for more than 3 days there is just a small amount of drain with it. I have found now that it keeps a cylinders work all the time oil pressure is good and it does not hunt for different gear going down the interstate or other state roads I gained 3 miles per gallon on the interstate here in idaho with my 6.2

Happy Overall
I've had this for a couple of months now in my 2020 sierra 6.2 10 speed. It seems to take about 5 minutes to disable the dfm if I'm at lower speeds like 30 mph but if I get straight to highway speed it works immediately and once it cuts the dfm out it stays off until the next start up. The auto start is disabled and I haven't had any problems with it. I drive my truck every day so I don't have any problems with the battery being drained. Overall I'm happy I just wish it cut the dfm out immediately every time.

Awesome product
2022 Silverado pre-refresh, RPO codes L84 (5.3L V8) and MQE (8-speed transmission). Pre-refresh means Global A architecture and compatibility with the Range RA003, whereas trucks after that ("2022.5" and after) have Global B architecture and require the RA007. Range Pulsar LT can be used on just about any but it's more expensive. Lots of youtube content on all these devices. What a difference. It's like a different truck. Even in L7, which is supposed to disable DFM, the drive was clunky. Much nicer with this device, and the auto-stop is fully disabled with it installed regardless of the dash button. GM removed the display to show which cylinder mode you are in but based on the improved drive and the auto-stop, it certainly seems to be working and worth the money. I did also buy an OBD2 splitter so I can use a reader at the same time, and so that if I unplug this RA003 frequently I am not wearing out the factory connection.

Expensive, but does its Job
Works as intended, using it in a 2018 Camaro SS

Range RA003B, excellent product
I am in Australia. Ordered through Amazon. I read as many reviews I could find. Used in the Chev 1500 Silverado for a week or so and found it to be as advertised. Can't fault it at this time.

Range Tech disabler
This is an excellent plug and play module to save your engine. Simply insert into your OBD and leave it in. Don't buy the cheap ones. Works as it should. No more cylinder shut down or engine stop/starting. Highly recommend. Bought it for my 2021 Chevy Blazer
