Simple to use.....makes setting VTA and Azimuth a breeze
Not really much to say about a clear block of plastic with lines on it, other than it appears to be quite well made, and even comes in a nice storage pouch to keep it pristine.Setting VTA is best done by ear, but the Hudson alignment block makes short work of getting the tone arm or the base of the cart parallel with the record as a starting point. I recently went from a Rega P2 w/o VTA adjustment to a Technics SL-1500c which does. Being able to easily swap cartridges is great, but being able to quickly see and set VTA when doing so takes the guess work about of one part of cartridge alignment.

Hudson Hi Fi VTA Azimuth Gauge is necessary if adjustment, leveling of the tonearm, and precise alignment of the phono cartridge is to be considered. It can help for the cartridge to track the record in as precise path as possible. And it is American made; in the USA.
