It smells that bad? But how does it look? Like real suede?

hi there, the fabric doesn't smell like suede but it has the suede texture on one side.

Can it be machine washed?

Absolutely YES. This stuff cleans up great in a washing machine. Had a couch for over 15 years now and it still looks new because I take it apart and wash it often. Do not dry it in a dryer except on low heat .

Is the white bright white?

Hi there, It is a bright white.
